This activity will be for children ages 6 to 10. Please pre -register at the library or call 527-1430. This is a free program spon- sored by the Seaforth Public Library. Senior Shuffleboard contin- ues every Wednesday after- noon at the Seaforth and District Community Centres from 1:30 to 4 pm. All seniors are welcome to come out and participate. Lunn 368 The Seaforth Senior Games Committee would like to invite you to their monthly EUCHRE.FUNDRAISER. FUNI>RAISER. Euchre w(ll conitinencc at the Seaforth Legion at 1:30 pin on December' 12. 1996. Everyone is welcome and the admission fee is $1. The Seaforth Recreation Department will he hosting a Hockey Skills Camp for Tykes to Pee Wee. This camp will give the participant extra ice time over the holidays, and keep him or her well tuned to begin the new year. There will be 2 groups with each group getting 9 hours of ice. The Registration fee will be $40 or $60 if you would like to go in both groups. Registration forrri-s are avail- able at the arena, please fill them out and return to the Recreation Office. For more information please call 527- 0882. The Recreation Department will also be hosting the fol- lowing: Furniture Refinishing. Come out and learn how to bring your old piece of furni- ture back to looking brand_ new. Carol Humphries will guide you through the stages of -stripping off the old finish, then putting on the new fin- ish. You will he amazed. Monday evenings at the Seaforth District High School - Shop Room, from 7 to 9 pm beginning January 6, 1997. Registration fee is $40. Wood Working Do you have a small project you would like to make but don't think you can do it by yourself. John Lansink would be happy to guide you through 10 weeks of wood working. You can build a bird house, a.coffee table, a book shelf or even learn how to repair those broken chairs properly. Lottery tickets all sold out The Fantasy '97 lottery— which thc Huron -Perth Roman Catholic Separate School Board is a part—has sold all of their tickets in just 16 days. The proceeds from the lot- tery are donated to thc Monsignor Feeney Foundation, which supports the Huron -Perth Roman Catholic Separate School Board and other separate boards. A summer home in Grand Bend, cars, vacations and many other prizes aro offered. On Nov. 25, trustees were pleased to learn of the lot- tery's success. Superintendent Gates Blanchette said the early bird draws took place this past Friday with thc rest of the prizes being given away on Dec. 20. The board said it hopes to raise $200,000 by participat- ing in the lottery. CLAW tame . �r. Our local branch has set up a book donation table for children and is accepting books from the public until this Friday. In a combined effort, all j-luron libraries are sending donated books to Seaforth. They now have about 70, half of last year's final number. Recreation Preview by I1'larty Bedard This program is held Tuesday evenings at the Seaforth District High school - Shop Room from 7 to 9 pm each night heginning on January 7, 1997. Registration fee is $45 (mate- rials not included). . DOG OBEDIENCE Would you like more con- trol over your dog? Would you like your dog to listen to you?. Learn how to sit and stay? Or even learn how to walk at your side without tripping you? If you have answered yes to any of thc above questions the Seaforth Recreation Department will he offering Dog Obedience on Tuesday evenings at the Seaforth & District Community Centres from 7 to 8 pm beginning January 7, 1997. Staying Together for Couples & Singles This new program will hytp you learn and understand how to improve your rela- tionship or marriage. Learn how to get what you want from your partner This pro- gram will be instructed by Brian O'Reilly, DSW, TR, CRT. Brian is a trained facil- itator in this arca. Staying Together will he held at the Seaforth District High School on Wednesday evenings from 8 to 10 pin each night for 8 weeks heginning January 8, 1997. Registration fee will he $60 per couple or $40 for sin- gles. Recreation Volleyball This non-competitive recre- ational program is for the not so serious player that would like a night out and enjoy a little fun and exercise. Mixed Volleyball will he held at the Seaforth District High school on Wednesday evenings from 8 to 10 pm heginning January, 8, 1997. Registration fee is $30. Recreation Basketball This non-competitive mixed program gives the amateur player a chance for a night of fun exercise. Basketball is .played on Thursday evenings at the Seaforth District High school from 8 to 10 pm for 10 weeks, 'and will begin on January 9. I997. Registration fee is $30.
