The Seaforth Harmony Kings invite you and your staff or group to a Christmas Dinner and Dance on Saturday, December 7, 1996, at the Seaforth and District Community Centres. Social Hour will be from 6 to 7 pm. Dinner from 7 to 3:30 Catered by Grace Campbell and Dancing will be from 9 pm to 1 am to the Royal Aires. The Seaforth Library will be doing Christmas Crafts on December 7 and 14, 1996. from 2 to 3 pm. This activity will he for children ages 6 to 10. Please pre -register at the library or call 527-1430. This is a free program spon- sored by the Seaforth Public Library. The Seaforth, Senior Games Committee would like to invite you to their monthly EUCHRE FUNDRAISER. Euchre will commence at the Seaforth Legion at 1:30 pm on December 12. 1996. Everyone is welcome and the admission fee is $1. A Breastfeeding support clinic will he held the 2nd Thursday of each month beginning December 12, 1996. This clinic will he held at the• Women,s Resource Centre, 7 Main St. South from 9:30 to 11 am. Your facilitator will he Breastfeeding Consultant, Karen Searle. Pre -registra- tion is not required. In crisis situations contact Karen at 522-0409. The Seaforth Recreation Department will be hosting a Hockey Skills Camp for Tykes to Pee Wee. This camp will give the participant extra ice time over the holi- days, and keep him or her well tuned to begin the new year. There will be 2 groups with each group getting 9 hours "of ice. The Registration fee will be 540 or 560 if you would like to• go in both groups. Registration forms are avail- able at the arena. please fill them out and return to the Recreation Office. Residents decorate room for Snowflake Ball Well, there aren't many days left to go until Christmas. Hope everyone has their last minute shop- ping nearly completed. I imagine the stores will be very busy right now, with long line-ups and lots of chil- dren waiting to see Santa Claus. It is so wonderful to see all the beautiful Christmas decorations around us here in our home. Christmas is the time for giv- ing and sharing our love for those dear to us. Last month was a busy time for us. On Nov. 7 the Legion was here for our Remembrance Day service. Thank you to all'the mem- bers for performing this important service for us. On Nov. 11, we enjoyed a "Snowflake Ball". The room was • decorated with snowflakes and streamers. Walter Smith and Mary Seaforth Manor Retirement Home McDougall reigned as King and Queen for the dance. They even had crowns to wear that day. Music was provided by the Stratford Old Tyme Band and was enjoyed immensely. Door prizes were won by the following people; Ruth Vandermeer, Lila Eickmeyer and Ruth Garden. Congratulations to everyone.• On Nov. 17 we enjoyed our monthly brunch. as cooked by Barb Shannon. What a treat it is to smell the aroma of the bacon cooking and taste the freshly cooked eggs hot off the griddle. Mmmmm. Proceeds from these sales go directly to the Students' Council. The few clothing items remaining are. being incorporated into a Twelve Days Til Christmas raffle. • Miss Britnell's Entrepreneur Class -served the staff lasagna and Caesar salad. The food was delicious and this Friday they will offer tacos. Hastalluego. • CEN Class Takes A Trip by J. Powell. Last Thursday the Challenging Learning Needs Class went to London for their annual Christmas .shopping at Masonville Mall. Students brought in lists of items to he purchased for family members and friends, and staff members D. Onn, J. Desjardine, and W. Case helped them make their pur- chases. The trip lasted a full school day and students ate their lunch in the mall's food court. Mrs. Case comments, "The trip helps to foster inter- action in the community."
