Residents decorate room for Snowflake Ball
Well, there aren't many
days left to go until
Christmas. Hope everyone
has their last minute shop-
ping nearly completed. I
imagine the stores will be
very busy right now, with
long line-ups and lots of chil-
dren waiting to see Santa
Claus. It is so wonderful to
see all the beautiful
Christmas decorations around
us here in our home.
Christmas is the time for giv-
ing and sharing our love for
those dear to us.
Last month was a busy time
for us. On Nov. 7 the Legion
was here for our
Remembrance Day service.
Thank you to all'the mem-
bers for performing this
important service for us. On
Nov. 11, we enjoyed a
"Snowflake Ball". The room
was • decorated with
snowflakes and streamers.
Walter Smith and Mary
Seaforth Manor
Retirement Home
McDougall reigned as King
and Queen for the dance.
They even had crowns to
wear that day. Music was
provided by the Stratford Old
Tyme Band and was enjoyed
immensely. Door prizes were
won by the following people;
Ruth Vandermeer, Lila
Eickmeyer and Ruth Garden.
Congratulations to everyone.•
On Nov. 17 we enjoyed our
monthly brunch. as cooked
by Barb Shannon. What a
treat it is to smell the aroma
of the bacon cooking and
taste the freshly cooked eggs
hot off the griddle.
Mmmmm.
