time half. The Grads' goals
were scored by Mac O'Neil
and Craig Smith with quick
passes from Chris Goris and
Tony Va,n Den Heuvel.
Royals' goalie Rob Dearing
outdid himself during this
game as he made saves too
unbelievable to mention.

KNIGHTS 1
.The Knights' Mike Stovers
-digs.- well and certainly
deserves a handshake or pat
on the hack for scoring a
great goal. Winthrop squeaks
by as Steve Knight and Jetry
Bremner capture the goals for
a sure win with a little help
from Mike Bovcn.

Carla Hunt, 13, did not
skate at either meet duc to a
fractured ankle but will likely
compete at a race in
Kitchener on November 16

rained to the Provincial
Development Squad - skaters
identified as having potential
to make the next Canada
Winter (kitties team.

Club at the Dison Campus of
Conestoga College.
POLAR ICE 1
Polar Ice seemed eager to
go but managed to only get
one goal, achieved by
Darlene Copeland. She slaps
the ball directly into the net
with quick assistance from
Wendy Triemstra and Kim
Finlayson. Wow. Winthrop's
leading lady (I use that term
carefully), Lisa Van Den
Heuvel is kicking up her
heels, being on the ice for a
minute she quietly (not) tips
the ball into the net. Not far
behind is roaring J.F. with not
one but two satisfying goals.
Couldn't have been dont
without Jen Gallagher,
Christa Leonhardt, Debra
Murray, smoothy Donna Arts
and old faithful Mary Ann
Verberne.
PARR LINE 4
SOCIALITES 0
Socialites seemed to lay
back in second hall •.l game
as no goals were .Anted till
then. Better luck next week
girls. (You girls have plenty
of talent.) Parr Line seemed a
little lazy in the first half but
the pace picked up as goals
started to appear. They were
scored by Cheryl Kruse,
Cathy Innes, Tanya Eckert
and Sandi Fremlin (I can scc
she hasn't lost her touch on
goal scoring), quick passes
front Jean Dow and Sharon
Whitfield.

Mike Thomas soars through
the team players and puts the
ball into the net, quick pass
from Joe Ryan and Steve
Knight. 1 dont think the
Cyclones were aware of the
chances they had as they kept
feeding the opposing team
the ball. Here take this ball,
go and shoot on our
"Hammer", but he can only
stop so many shots; so let's
work on our passes and help
