On November 1 1 th the
annual Remembrance Day
parade to the cenotaph was
held and despite poor weath-
er there was very good atten-
dance. The service was con-
ducted by Padre Major (Rtd)
Frank Golding and Branch
156 President John Lansink.
The colour party was under
the direction of Sgt. -at -Arms
Errol Skillender. The parade
consisted of Branch 156
members, Legion Ladies
Auxiliary to Branch 156,
Army Cadets, Seaforth
Scouts and members of the
public presenting wreaths.
There were a good number
of people from the public,
along with the students from
Seaforth Public School and
St. James School also in
attendance.
Before the Legion parade,
members of the Legion and
Auxiliary attended the
Seaforth high school to par-
ticipate in its Remembrance
service. Public relations offi-

the Legion address. We want
to thank the high school for

Murray brothers
hold euchre party
Well, the Murray Brothers
are at it again! Another excit-
ing euchre party was held at
the "Mayor's" place in
Dublin. One brother went
west five miles before he
knew where he was, but he
got back in time for a whirl-
wind of a game of six -hand
euchre. I won't say which
one euchred the other two of
us. We don't know any night
we got such a "shellacking"!
The two in Perth County and
the "Mayor" lost, and the two
from McKillop and the one
from Kitchener won. The
kitchen table got bent.
Don MacRae was pleasant-
ly surprised when he and
Eileen were invited for din-
ner on Saturday evening to
the home of his daughter,
Nora Ann and son Trevor in
London to find all members
of his family together to cele-
brate his 75th birthday,
including his two sisters,
Mrs. Anne Hatton, Sarnia,
Mrs. Rita Gooding, London,
and John and Nancy Gooding
(nephew) from Owen Sound
called in to sec uncle Don for
a short time. Very .good
friends and neighbors of
Nonie were also guests and
helpers to make this day a
very special day for Don.
Joe Eckert was pleased to
have a visit from Judy Emm,
Jenny and Tammy of
itratford.
A very happy 86th birthday
to Jim Kelly, Seaforth, who
celebrates this Friday. Jim,
we all appreciate how you
took part in kcal events, and
your smile made our day.
Successful dinner
Seaforth and arca Town and
Country Homemakers held

all to a delicious mcal pre-
pared by Marjorie Anderson.
Following the meal

and shared some very worth-

accidents. Several little use-

public for their generous
donations.
After the parade back at the
Legion, Fern Chesney and
her committee served lunch
to the members. Thank you
ladies very much, it was
enjoyed by everyone. Then
later, Jim Rose entertained us
on the piano for a sing song.
This as always is enjoyed by
all those present. This year
we were joined by some
comrades from Mitchell
branch.

our branch qualified for the
