The Terry Fox Run was
held on September 22, 1996
in Seaforth. 1 would like to
extend many thanks to those
dedicated people who came
out in the rain. We had 30
participants collect approxi-
mately $2,000.00. Hope to
see everyone out again next
September.
The Recreation Department
will be accepting
Nominations for the Annual
Citizenship Awards. These
awards are handed out in
three different categories,
Service to Sports, Civic
Service and Humanitarian
Service. Please look for a

The Seaforth and District
Community Centres is the
place to be for all youth on
Thursday evenings. A youth
drop in centre is held
between 7 and 9 pm. In the
upstairs hall. Come socialize
with other youth, play cards,
ping pong, pool, listen to
music or more. This is a
fully chaperoned event and
all youth are welcome.

TWO LIVES, TWO HEARTS JOINED TOGETHER IN
FRIENDSHIP, UNITED FOREVER IN LOVE
A beautiful Labour Day weekend was the setting for a double ring
ceremony, August 31, 1996 at St. James Catholic Church, Seaforth,
uniting Tamara Ginetle Nash and Grant Carlyle McKellar. The bride is
the daughter of James Nash. Seaforth and looking down from Heaven,
her mother Giraffe. The groom is the son of Laurie and Helen McKellar.
Seaforth. Fr. Joseph Hardy was the celebrant. The bride was escorted
down the aisle on the arms of her. father and sister Marlene deVries,
Matron of Honour was the bride's close friend, Peg Ryan. Bridesmaids
were Audrey Schenk. sister of the bride, Stay McKellar. sister of the
groom and Shelly Pryce, cousin of the groom and good friend of the
bride. Flowerglrls were Alyson McKellar and Adeena DeGrousf; nieces
of the bridal couple. The best mom was Paul Van Bakel, friend of the
groom. Ushers were Murk McKellar. Bob and Gary Nash. all brothers of
the couple. The proud ringbearer was Danny Schenk, nephew and
Godson of the bride. Readers were Jimmy Nash, Sherry Rumford rued
Marie Therese De(Jraaf. Offertory gills were presented by Greg deVries
and Daniel Nash. Candlelighters were John Mark Nash and Bill Smith.
Music was provided by Casey Van Bakel and Cheryl St. Onge, who also
played the organ. The vlolinlst was Madonna McQuaid and Korey
Nash was the altar boy. Concluding the ceremony. the bride was
presented with a lucky horseshoe by her niece. Lindsay Nash. The
dinner and reception was held at the Seaforth Community Centre.
'Mistress- of Ceremonies was Kathy McKellar, sister of the groom.
Guests were entertained by the music of Susan McAllister and Daryn
Bee. The couple survived a relaxing honeymoon in the Dominican
Republic (despite the oncoming Hurricane). They now reside at
R.R. *1, Dublin. Tammy and Grant would like to thank all their family
and friends for making their day so special and always close to their
hearts.

Sandra Howson and Tony DeCorte were wed in a lovely
ceremony, August 3, 1996 at St. James Catholic Church,
Seaforth. Father Joseph hardy officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mary Ann Howson of Blyth
and Jim Howson, Wingham. The groom is the son of Cor
and Catherine DeCorte of Seaforth.
Sandra Was given away by her proud brothers, Steve -and
Ron Rowson, both of Blyth.
Darlene Pullen, St. Marys was matron of honour.
Bridesmaids were Jody Sippel, Stratford, Sherri Cantelon,
Seaforth and Cheryl Caldwell, Barrie. Junior bridesmaid
was Meagan Campbell, Blyth and flowergirl was Andrea
Diemert, Cromarty.
Attending the groom were best meal Mike DeCorte, Slaffn
tund groomsmen were Ron Rowson, Blyth, Dan L'pshall,
Egmondville and Jeff Howson, Blyth. Junior groomsman
was Garrett Van Dieten and ringbearer was Mark Van
Dieten, both of Seaforth.
After a reception in Seaforth, the couple honeymooned in
the North.
The newlyweds now reside in Egmondville.
