KYLIE •: The Akita is keen
on the Level 2 dog obedi-
ence obstacle course.
Life is ruff
If your slippers need fetch-
ing and you have a dog, you
might consider obedience
classes.
For the dog.
Starting Oct. 8, the recre-
ation department is hosting
dog obedience classes, once
again instructed by Anita
Hansen of Seaforth.
There are two classes on
Tuesday nights. Level 1 is for
teaching basic good manners
to' the beginning pooch. The
dogs will learn such things as
to sit, stand, go' down, to
come when called,.etc. It runs.
from 7 to 8.p.m.
Level 2 goes from 8 to 9
p.m. It is somewhat trickier
and involves a dog obstacle
course and agility. Owners
must have control of their,
animals to enroll.
Otherwise it would be, may-
hem, Hansen says.
Beginners do not bring
dogs on that first night.
More information is avail-
able at the Seaforth
Recreation Department
office. You can call Marty
Bedard at 527-0882 for more
details.
