THE HURON IIIXPOSITOR, S.ptern*.r 11, 11//S-19 Former Bluewater inmate murdered A 16 -year-old scheduled to appear in Goderich court tomorrow in connection with February's- riot at the Bluewater Youth Centre was killed Saturday. James Lonnie died of mas- sive head injuries. He was attacked at the Wellington Detention Centre in Guelph and pronounced dead at Hamilton General Hospital . Another 16 -year-old inmate has been charged with first- degree murder. Shaw retiring in January Bruce Shaw of Exeter, a high school principal in Huron for 21 of the past 32 years he has been employed by the county board of educa- tion, is retiring as principal of Goderich District Collegiate Institute at the start of January, a position he has • held for the past seven years. Deb Homuth, one of the incumbent vice -principals at GDCI, has been appointed acting principal at that school. Shaw was the principal at Seaforth District High School in the 1980s.
