Residents dine with swans
What a great summer it has
been. Weather co-operated
for all outdoor activities at
Maplewood Manor.
An invitation to the home
of Cheryl Wilkinson was gra-
ciously accepted by residents
of Maplewood. The view
from her backyard patio was
spectacular. The beautiful
fish pond and the large veg-
etable garden were admired
by all - not to mention the
delicious pie that was served.
Residents were off in the
bus to Stratford where they
enjoyed a picnic along the
river. The swans were anx-
ious visitors and also enjoyed
a great picnic with us.
Sunshine and a beautiful
breeze were the answer to our
prayers for our mid -summer
barbecue. Family and friends
gathered on the front lawn at
Maplewood for a barbecue.
The musical entertainment by
the "Notes of Yesteryear"
made the afternoon complete.
What a great day it was.
Residents were on the road
again - this time to the beach
in Goderich where they
enjoyeda picnic lunch.
The picture perfect Flower
gardens at the home of Bill
Gibson in Hensall were a real
treat to residents of
Maplewood. After a tour of
the grounds we enjoyed an
afternoon of music with
Joyce Pepper and Bill
Gibson. The outing ended
with a delicious dessert being
served. Thanks for the great
hospitality.
