Manor Retirement Home, died
Monday. July 29, 1996 at the
Seaforth Community Hospital. Born
in McKillop Township, August 20,
1915. a daughter of the late
Thomas Murray and the former
Elizabeth Flanagan She was
predeceased by her husband Zack
Ryan whom she married October
11, 1941 She was a member of
St James Roman Catholic Church
and the G W L. of the parish.
Surviving are a son, Jim and wife
Joanne of R.R. 5, Seaforth; a
daughter, Mary Elizabeth and
husband George Kreutzwiser of
R R 4. Walton: grandchildren, Jeff
and Jennifer Ryan, Denise and
Anita Kreutzwiser, brothers,
Raymond and wife Vera; Dominic
and wife Grace, Vincent and wife
Christine, Toni and wife Madeline;
and Frank, all of the Seaforth area.
Friends and relatives were
received at the Whitney-Riboy
Funeral Home, 87 Goderich St. W ,
Seaforth, on Wednesday, July 31,
from 2-4 p m and 7-9 p.m Mass
of the Christian burial was held 11
a m Thursday. August 1, 1996 at
St James Roman Catholic Church.
Burial followed in the SI Columban
Cemetery Father Joseph Hardy
officiated. Music was provided by
the St James Choir. Readers
included Mary Lou Jordan, Tom
Ryan and the four grandchildren.

90th year. Born at Vancouver, B C
on January 7. 1907 She was the
former Edna Chick. a daughter. of
the late Thomas Edwin Chick and
the former Josephine Bourque On
November 4, 1946. she was
married to Joseph Edmund Looby
of Dublin who predeceased her on
May 12, 1987 Prior to her
marriage she taught elementary
school in Sudbury She was a
member of Main St United Church
in Mitchell and the Mary Martha
Unit of the U C W of the church
She is survived by a daughter
Helene Cortigiani of Vancouver
Iwo sons Donald of Toronto and
Gary of Vancouver, a
granddaughter Garonne of Victoria,
B C, a brother Oliver J M 'Chick
and his wife Gladys of Toronto and
by a sister Myrtle Villeneuve of
Whonnock. B C Also surviving is a
brother-in-law George Goetiler of
Dublin and four sisters in law

WORDEN, J.R. Russell passed
away in his 87th year at his home
at 32 Franklin St. Seaforth, on
Sunday, August 4, 1996. Beloved
husband of Stella (Richmond)
Worden for 57 years. Cherished
father to Kaye and Allan Appleby,
London and Marg and Brian
Babcock, Grimsby. Grandfather to
Patti and Rob Appleby and
Lyndsay and Courtney Babcock.
He was predeceased by his
parents Joseph and Margaret
(Norris) Worden, and two brothers,
Lisle and Alvin, and a sister
Penelope Fell. Russell Worden had
lived in Seaforth since 1980 when
he retired from his farm in Hibbert
Township. Funeral services were
held at the Whitney-Ribey Funeral
Home, 87 Goderich St. W.,
Seaforth, on Tuesday, August 6,
1996 with Rev. Rick Hawley of
London officiating. . Interment
followed at Staffa Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bill Worden,
Bodie Craig, Bruce Richmond,
John Nixon, Duncan Scott and Ron
Drager. His four grandchildren
honoured him as flower bearers:
Memorial donations were made to
Seaforth Community Hospital or

MURRAY, Emily Elizabeth died at
her residence in Longwood, Florida
on Thursday, July 25, 1996. She
was born in Tuckersmith Township
on October 10, 1906, a daughter of
the late Roland Kennedy and
Catherine Roach. In 1930 she was
married in Seaforth, Ontario to
Frank Murray who predeceased
-her in 1971. She attended Seaforth
Collegiate Institute and Stratford
Normal School before moving to.
Detroit, Mich. where she and her
husband operated an insurance
business for many years. In 1989
she moved to Florida, where she
resided until the time of her death.
She is survived by a daughter,
Catherine and son-in-law Edward
Puhr, of Lake Mary, Florida, her
grandchildren Victoria, Rebecca
and Joshua Puhr, and nieces and
nephews in Ontario and Western
Canada. She was predeceased by
a brother Angus Kennedy, sisters
Mary Ducharme and Hilda
Kennedy, sister-in-law Anna
Kennedy, and brother-in-law
Auguste Ducharme. A funeral
mass was celebrated at her parish
church in Florida on July 29, 1996,
followed by a committal service
and burial in Detroit, Mich. on July
31, 1996- 42-33x1

died at Seaforth Community
Hospital on August 10, 1996 in her
85th year. Greta Becker was born
in Hay Twp. Predeceased by her.
husband John Kerr (1980). She is
survived by brothers Gordon

Helen of New Hamburg, and
sisters Loreen Fenton of Stratford,
Dorothy Restemayer of Dashwood,
