invites tenders for
FIRE SAFETY UPGRADES TO FIVE SCHOOLS
Sealed tenders addressed to The Huron County Board of Education will
be received at the office of The Huron County Board of Education, 103
Albert Street, Clinton, Ontario, NOM ILO, until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
August 8, 1996. There are three separate tenders as follows:
Tender One - Usborne C. P. S. and Stephen C. P. S.
Tender Two - Robertson M. P. S. and Huron Centennial P. S.
Tender Three - Howick Central Public School
A Bid Bond amount of 10% of the Base Bid is required to accompany
each tender. The successful bidder will be required to provide -a 50%
Performance Bond or Agreement to Bond with each tender submission
The Owner will accept Certified Cheques for 50% of the Project Cost
in lieu of these Bonds.
A limited number of tender documents will be available to Electrical
Contractors only, as of Monday, July 29, 1996, from the office of
Garratt & Marklevitz Architects, 516 Huron Street, Stratford, Ontario,
NSA 5T7, upon deposit of a certified cheque in the amount of 550.00

The Huron County Board of Education
requires a
COMPUTER TECHNICIAN
Effective immediately, duties include computer hardware maintenance,
operating system and software support in a multi -platform school board
environment including classroom, office and library applications.
The ideal candidate has a working knowledge of iBM,Compatible and
Macintosh computer hardware repair and related operating systems such
as DOS, UNIX, Windows 95, Windows NT, OS/2 and Mac System 7.
Experience with programming and maintenance of CISCO routers and
familiarity with Novell 4.1 and LAN/WAN architecture are definite assets.
Relevant post -secondary educational qualifications includes a Computer
Technician diploma or equivalent. The successful candidate has avalid
driver's licence and a reliable means of transportation.
This is a permanent, 40 hours per week, 12 mbnths per year position. ,
Flexible working hours may be required. The successful applicant will
become a member of C.U.P.E., Local 1428.

DEAF AND HEARINGIMPAIRED
at Goderich District Collegiate Institute
Duties include sign language interpreting for the deaf and hearing
impaired in a secondary school setting. This is a full-time temporary
position, scheduled from September 3, 1996 until January 25, 1997.
The successful candidate should be a graduate of a college or
university interpreter -training program. Background experience in this
or related areas would be art asset.
