BY DAVID SCOTT
Expositor Editor
Singer Kim Souch, of
Seaforth, will soon be
appearing in her second
Blyth performance this year.
.She is just one of•many
local performers taking the
stage for Blyth Festival's
Barndance Live! which opens
this week. Thc first act of thc
play is a re-creation of the
backstage happenings on the
old CKNX set of the long-
running country music show.
"In the olden days, musi-
cians would chase thc stage
manager around wanting him
to listen to their songs. They
want to re-create that atmos-
phere." said Souch.
She will perform two songs
in the second half of the
show which features "old
style walk-ons" by perform-
ers. She won't Ix- appearing
in every single production of
the play. If you want to catch
the talented local singer in
Barndance Live!, she'll be
singing and playing her gui-
tar in the June 20 and July 25
productions.
The Seaforth singer will be
performing a Patsy Kline
song and "Silver Threads and
Golden Needles" and will be
wearing a late 1940's style
outfit.
In May, she performed in
the Blyth fundraising mys-
tery dinner theatre show,
Come Back to the Gym, Mary
Lou, Mary Lou,
It was so successful, there
will be a repeat run on

year.

who along with Souch and
Ron Daniels, makes up Kim
Souch and Bay Side Blue,
who appeared last Friday at

hand plays Top 40 songs,
