St. Marys bowlers advance

Bowling greens were in use
Saturday for the first stage of
Provincial playdowns for
ladies and men's fours in this
district. Four teams were
entered in the men's competi-
tion St. Marys, Exeter and
two Seaforth teams. For the
ladies it was just St. Mary's
and Exeter teams, with the
St. Mary's ladies winning
two games to one. The rink
consisted of Teresa Moreland
(lead), Ruth McKay 2nd,
Marilyn Lancanstcr 3rd and
Marjorie Leslie, skip. After
round-robin • play the Exeter
men's team and St. Mary's
team were tied each with two
wins and one loss. In a seven -
end playoff game St. Mary's
were the winners. Their team
was Don Leslie (lead), Chris.
Johnston (2nd), Larry
McClellan, 3rd and Jamie
McClellan, skip. Both St.
Mary's teams will now
advance to the Ontario finals
at the Brampton L.B.C. on
June 15.

in Exeter on Thursday. This
