• Community Hospital recently
introduced a voluntary early

tional cost in this fiscal year
due to the retirement payouts
it will achieve annualized
savings of approx. $170,000
in 1997/98; and approx.
$200,000 in 1998/99 and the
years to follow.
Bill Thibert, Chief
Executive Officer stated that
he was very pleased that
these savings could be
achieved through the positive
approach of offering this vol-
untaryearly retirement initia-
tive.
He indicated that the hospi-
tal is continuing to identify
efficiencies and.savings in
order to achieve a balanced
budget and to prepare for
.additional government fund-
ing cuts announced for the
1997/98 and 1998/99 fiscal
years.
