ELLIOTT, W.J. Gordon o1 R.R. 5,
Sealorth, Ont died Tuesday, May
14, 1996 at Seaforth Community
Hospital in his 79th year. Born in
McKillop Township, he was the son
of the late Lorne H. Elliott and the
late Mary Emily Barron. His loving
wife. -Sarah Whitmore predeceased
him in September 1995. He is
survived by his children Bob Elliott
and his wile, Sharon, of Kitchener,
Emily and her husband,ScottLa
Rue of Haliburton; Helen and her
husband Graeme Craig of Walton
and Mary Elliott of Burnaby, B.C.
Fondly remembered by nine
grandchildren and their spouses,
David and Line, Darren and Sandy,
Matthew, Chantal and Rod, Tran
and Tammy, Noelle, Danielle,
Michael and Shannon, and seven
great grandchildren, Rebecca,
Jessikah, Jacob, Chase, Molly,
Chad and Breana Also surviving is
- one sister, Helen Williamson of
Walton, 3 brothers, Roy and Gertie
Elliott of Clinton, Bruce and Sandy
Elliott of Aurora and Ross Elliott
acid Cindy Couch of North Cotbalt
and his stepmother Florence Elliott
of Varna He was predeceased by
one grandson Chad Craig and his
brother-in-law, Bert Williamson.
Gordon lived ail his life in McKillop
Township -where ho farmed- and
enjoyed many hours dying custom
_harvesting. He was the manager of
the Seaforth Farmer's Co -
Operative for 14 years. Prior to his
retirement he was employed at
Milton Dietz Ltd A long standing
momber of Northside United
Church, Gordon was a past
member of session. He enjoyed
the fellowship of his brothers at the
Seaforth Chapter 55 of the I O.O.F.
(Oddfellows) Lodge, . serving as
recording secretary a number of
years. The Lodge.service was held
Thursday. May 16, 1996 at 7:00
p m Family and friends gathered
at the Whitney-Ribey Funeral
Home, _Friday., May 17, 1996 at
2.00 p m. for the funera4 service,
officiated by the Rev Bruce Cook
Graeme Craig sang two of
Gordon's favorite songs. 'How
Great Thou Art" and -The Old
Rugged Cross - Honorary.
pallbearers were Warden Haney.

Eckert Palibe.arers were
grandsons Michael Craig, Matthew
Elliott, Tran La Rue and David
Elliott, nephew Wayne Williamson

Thurston- Gdrdon was laid to rest
at Maitlandbank Cemetery. in
remembrance, donations were
made to the Diabetes Association
of Huron -Bruce, the Seaforth
Community Hospital, the Nbrthside
United Church and ,charities of
