man who gave a ride to an
acquaintance was fined $200
in court Monday.
Court was told Steve G.
Fehr was on probation as a
result of an assault conviction
when the incident occurred
Feb. 24. Among his probation
conditions were orders that he
not associate with certain peo-
ple. When police stopped him,
in McKillop Twp., for having
no taillights, they found one
of the people on the pro-
scribed list in the passenger
seat.
"It was raining, he saw a
hitchhiker and picked him
up," Macdonald said.
"I'm almost tempted to get
a weather report for that day,"
retorted Hunter.
