See page 2 Your Community Newspaper Since 1860 — Seaforth, Ontario Briefly Murray in jail Steven Murray of Goderich, formerly of St. Columban, who is facing a second- degree murder charge in con- nection with the disappear- ance of his then -16 -year-old daughter. Mistie Murray, was charged Friday with six counts of. breaking court orders. Murray was .remanded in ,-ustody to Walkerton jail and appeared in court yesterday in Goderich. Edward Hubbard, 33, of Blyth was killed on Victoria Day, Monday, after the northbound pick-up truck he was driving on Huron County Rd.12 was struck by atransport truck driven by Mervyn Schneider, 57, of Brussels which failed to stop as it headed westbound at the -- intersection of County Roads 12 and 17. Hubbard was pronounced dead at Seaforth Community Hospital. Hubbard was taken to Seaforth ' Community Hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced dead. CONTINUED on page 11 PHOTO BY DAVID SCOTT FIRE DESTROYS HOME - The Seaforth Fire Department answered a call last Wednesday morning at approximately 8:30 a.m. at the home of Jean Fehr of Winthrop. Firemen spent most of the morning fighting the fire which destroyed the home and its contents. The possible cause of the fire is an electric blanket left on. Fire Chief George Garrick estimates the damage to the home and contents to exceed $100,000. No one was injured.
