42. DEATHS
NICHOLSON, Beryl Mabel
(Wilson). A tribute to Beryl
Nicholson 1918-1996 This poem,
to me, sums up the essence of
Beryl and the beautiful spirit she
left with us.
The Little Things
It really is the little things
That mean the most of all
The let me help you with that'
things,
That may seem very small,
The 111 be glad to do it' things.
That make your cares much
lighter,
The 'laugh with me,, it's funny'
things,
Thal make your outlook brighter...
The 'never mind the trouble'
things,
The 'yes, I understand,'
The interest and encouragement
In everything you've planned...
It really is the little things
The friendly word or smile
▪ That add such happiness to life
And make it more worthwhile.
Ecc. 3: To everything there is a
season,
And a time for every purpose
under heaven
A time to be born
A time to die.
- Beryl's time with us has left us with
a legacy - a legacy of love. caring
and trust. She was a devoted wife,
mother and grandmother, a
dedicated teacher, an advisor,
confidante and friend. She
welcomed us into her home and
her heart without question She
laughed with enthusiasm and loved
deeply. Beryl won the affection of
children and the respect of her.
fellow teachers. She left no stone
unturned in the pursuit of learning
She appreciated beauty and had a
talent to create in written, verse
form. She was the poet laureate of
our family. She found the best in
others and her hand r ut
to help people without thepat
40pught of return. A stream p
"Mid Understanding flowed
I's heart to enrich her
fainlnlind friends.
Beryl lived well and her job is
completed. The quality of her life is
measured by how deeply she has
touched the lives of others. How
comforting are .our memories -
They sustain us in our sorrow. And
give us reassurance, as we face a
new tomorrow. And though the
world seems barren, when our
loved ones depart. Their memory
blooms forever in the gardens of
the heart - Barbara •Alexander
(Beryl's sister-in-law)

BUTT: In loving memory of our
dear Dad, Keith Gordon Butt, who
passed away April 14, 1979.
They say there is a reason.
They say that time will heal,
But neither time nor reason,
Help the emptiness we feel.
Remembering you is easy,
We do it every day
Missing you is a heartache.
That never goes away.
To us you wero someone special,
What more is there to say
Except to wish with all our hearts,
That you were hero today
Lovingly remembered and sadly
missed by daughter, Lori and son
