all of Seaforth, represented the Centenaires at the annual Ontario Hockey Association -Junior "D"evelopment League All-Star
Game at Lucan Saturday. night. They played for the West, and lost 10-7. It was the only action of the weekend for any
Seaforth juniors. The Cents home game Friday night was postponed because of the weather conditions, on the request
of the scheduled visitors, the Mitchell Hawks. It will be rescheduled in February. The Cents hosted the defending OHA
champion Thamesford Trojans in another re -scheduled game at the arena last night but results weren't available at press

program.
Business upset at arena practise
A Main Street business is
angry and claims the Scaforth
arena is "out of bounds" or-
dering sports equipment on an
ongoing account with a London
distributor "for friends and
family...(and) minor sports
leagues in Seaforth" who "have
all benefited from this prac-
tice."
The letter from Trent and
Deb Ward of 2nd Period Sports
went to the arena board and
Seaforth Council, where it was
referred to finance and general
government at last Tuesday
night's regular meeting.
The customers save but local
business goes under, the Wards
maintain.
"How many more empty
stores do you want in town,"
the letter asks. "Two other
sporting good dealers had this
same problem with no solution,
now thcy arc out of business."
The Wards say they
understand the local arena is a
non-profit organization.
"We question why the
Seaforth and District Com-
munity Centres can use the
town's name to gain credit for
which they use to open these
accounts and receive 30 days
to repay," the complaint con-
tinues:
"The arena has an unfair
advantage when ii 'uses our
own tax dollars to bankrupt
us."
