Bill Gibson entertained following a traditional Christmas dinner, with wonderful festive music. Residents have been enjoying our Advent church services this month, as well as our Bible study message on 'The Christmas Story'. Outings to the Santa Claus parade as well as the Lioness bus tour of Chrisunas lights have kept everyone entertained. A wonderful program of Christmas music provided by Carol Carter on the piano and Carotin Shepherd on the violin brought the • spirit of Christmas to everyone! Everyone also enjoyed having Dorothy Dillon visit to play the guitar for Christmas carol singing! Thanks to the Lions Club for its excellent Christmas program!. It's wonderful to have so many community group involved in the nursing home! Grand Bend wa Council for Grand Bend wants the province to designate the nearby Lake Huron village a trial gambling area for 18 months. The motion came after Lakeview Casino Corporation. approached council Dec. 4 to offer Grand Bend as a trial site for a "tourist casino facility" and licensed slot machines. Approximately 250 people were served dinnet on all three floors. Bear Facts Mr. Ball's HCNOA History class travels to Toronto The Semi -Formal has been rescheduled (due to inclement weather) to Thursday Dec. 21. Mr. Ball's HCNOA History students and the GRE 4A/G Travel and Tourism students visited the Design Exchange in Toronto to learn about the impact of design on fashion, architecture, history and geography. The exhibit featured a variety of items from the decade of the Sixties and gave students insight into their parents' generation and into their own wild 'Pop' generation. Curling Team: The Boys' Curling Team competed at Ilderton on Dec. 9 and 10 in the Zone 15 playdown of the Gore Mutual Ontario Schoolboys. They won the 'B' event, defeating Strathroy, A.B. Lucas, Central Huron and lost the 'A' event final to South Huron. The boys will play in the regionals in February.
