Parents. grandparents, aunts
and uncles, you name il, they
were at Duff's United to
watch the Walton Public
School put on an excellent
Christmas concert. While
people were filing in, picking
the choice seats, Sarah
McDonald, Kcshia Bishop,
Tyler Elligscn, Jessica
Lubbers, Katie Williamson
and Laura Elligscn took turns
playing Christmas inusic on
the piano.
The whole school joined
together for a mass choir to
sing some very delightful
medleys of ' answering
machine messages called,
'After the Beeps.' It was
evident that a lot of hard
work went into the
production. A special surprise
was waiting for the kids when
they left the sanctuary, for
there was Mrs. Johns dressed
up as Mrs. Claus, standing
there with her heart of gold
and a basket of goodies to
hand out to the kids.
Due to bad weather last
Thursday, the numbers were
down at the Euchre game at
Walton Hall. The most men's
lone hand winner was Mac
Webster. Most women's Ione
hand winner was Lois Hart.
The next game will be played
Dec. 28 at 8:00 pm.
Monique Baan received
word this week that her
grandfather, K. Vanderbroek,
had passed away in Zundert,
Holland. Three of her
grandparents from Holland
were able to attend her
wedding in April of 1993.
Bill and Marie Coutts were
greeters at Duff's United
Church on Dec. 17. Phyllis
Mitchell, Margery Huether
and Glenda Carter used their
musical gifts and played
many favorite Christmas
carols before the service
began. Since Church .was
cancelled last week, two
Advent candle liturgies were
read. JoAnn, Scott and

Presbyterian Church gave the
spiritual message. Songs of
the season were brought to us
by the junior and senior.
