Nevada -tickets turned down At last Tuesday's regular mating, Seaforth Council unanimously defeated a motion on the application from the Commercial Hotel to sell break -open Nevada tickets for a "psychosocial rehabilitation program for consumers of the mental health system in the Water- loo region." Christmas Bureau thanks people of Seaforth & area Dear Editor, With Christmas. only a few days away we want to take this opportunity to say "Thank you *forth!" Once again the people of Scaforth and sur- rounding area have shown that rural Ontario has a heart. During the past two weeks we have seen an outpouring of generosity that the major cities could only dream of. Our local churches, businesses and especially the schools, have been so supportive. Everyone pitched in and made this project an over- whelming success. The Har- mony Kings, the youth group from First Presbyterian Church, the town knitters and many other service clubs donated both their cash, their time and their talents. When it was all said and done we had enough left over to help out Exeter, who were desperately short this year. Merry Christmas to all of you and may the spirit of sharing and caring stay with each and' everyone of you for all of 19961 Your Christmas Bureau Managers Jim and Jannekc Murray Lesley Ash
