DAVID SCOTT PHOTO HOLIDAY LETTERS - The Grade 3/4F class at Seaforth Public School performed a skit at the recent Christmas concert on the letters of the alphabet and what holiday words they.represented. Cat gets a present. for Christmas I was looking in a pct store and I saw all these animals I was going to buy. 1 was going to buy a cute little puppy but I bought a cute cat. I was ixcited when I bought a cat. I named it sash. The cat was a girl. The cat got bread. She had babies. She had six. We sold live. We kept I. It was the cutest. But one time it got out of the small cage and went out side. A car hit Joseph had to take Mary to Bethlehem On the day bcfor Christmas Mary was going to have a baby. Joseph had to take Mary to Bethlehem. So they went to a stable with a cow, sheep and all sorts of animals. When Mary went.to bed on the hay Jesus was ' born. She woke up and said I need a crib for a bed but there was only hay. So she made a bed out of hay. The angel went to get the shepherd to come and see 13aby Jesus. Then the wisemen saw the star. They carne with their camels and gold, myrrh and frankincense for Baby Jesus. Soon Jesus was growing and soon he was a Ulan. Kendal Runstedler St. Patrick's School Grade 3 the small cat. 1 was crying. Christmas Was only a week away. I couldn't wait. I wanted to buy something for my cat. But I didn't know what to buy her. I thought and thought but 1 couldn't think of anything. Then I found something to buy my cat. But I never toll anyone. Christmas was only I day ahead. I wrapped up the present for my cat and put it under the sparkling Christmas tree. 1t was a small cat. My mom and dad thought it was a ball to play with but it wasn't. My parent., thanked me for buying the cat lur my cat. I love cats. Then I kissed my mom and .dad and went to my big bed. I hoped I would get a new bike. I 'hoped my .big cat would like my present. I love Christmas. Everybody docs Happiest Christmas ever The children of Mary Stirc were. laughing and shouting around the Christmas tree, looking at the presents, It was Christmas Eve. Mary knew she should be in the spirit of Christmas, but ever since Bill had gone off to the war, she couldn't enjoy things like that. She hadn't gotten a letter from Bill in over three weeks. Shc used to get one every week—She was worried that something had happened to him. She watched her two daughters, Laura 'and Ashley, and her son, Tim, throw tinsel at each other. 'You know what grandma will say • when she and grampa come. She'll tell you to clean it up and to put it back on the tree.' 'Yes mother', said Ashley. Mary went to the kitchen to make tea. Oh how she wished Bill were here with her to watch their children grow up. The kettle started to boil, when there was a knock on the door. `Grandma and grampa arc early tonight,' Mary said to the kids as she went to open the door. `Bill!!!' she cried. `What are you doing hcre!7' ' 'Well, I hurt niy leg in' battle, so they sent me home.' He gave Mary a huge hug. Laura, Ashley and Tim carne running in to hug him. He laughed at them, all covered with tinsel. They were all glad to be a family again. It certainly was the happiest Christmas ever! Rachel Wood Seaforth Public School Grade 7 well I hope. Next morning 1 ran down stairs and looked at all my presents. Thein I woke up my mom and dad. I even woke up my cat. I opened all my presents. Then I opened my cat's present. My cat started playing with it right away. Mary and Joseph had to go and pay there taxes. Mary rode on a donkey and Joseph walked. When . they got there they went to a inn. the innkeeper said there was no more room so they went to the stable. In the Manger Mary had baby Jesus. Some Sheperds came to see Jesus. Threc wisemen saw the star in the sky and followed it. The wisemen gave Jesus gold frankincense and myrrh.
