HOLIDAY LETTERS - The Grade 3/4F class at Seaforth Public School performed a skit at the recent Christmas concert
on the letters of the alphabet and what holiday words they.represented.
Cat gets a present. for Christmas
I was looking in a pct store
and I saw all these animals I
was going to buy. 1 was
going to buy a cute little
puppy but I bought a cute cat.
I was ixcited when I bought a
cat. I named it sash. The cat
was a girl. The cat got bread.
She had babies. She had six.
We sold live. We kept I. It
was the cutest. But one time
it got out of the small cage
and went out side. A car hit
Joseph had to take
Mary to Bethlehem
On the day bcfor Christmas
Mary was going to have a
baby. Joseph had to take
Mary to Bethlehem. So they
went to a stable with a cow,
sheep and all sorts of
animals. When Mary went.to
bed on the hay Jesus was
' born. She woke up and said I
need a crib for a bed but
there was only hay. So she
made a bed out of hay.
The angel went to get the
shepherd to come and see
13aby Jesus. Then the
wisemen saw the star. They
carne with their camels and
gold, myrrh and frankincense
for Baby Jesus. Soon Jesus
was growing and soon he was
a Ulan.

the small cat. 1 was crying.
Christmas Was only a week
away. I couldn't wait.
I wanted to buy something
for my cat. But I didn't know
what to buy her. I thought
and thought but 1 couldn't
think of anything. Then I
found something to buy my
cat. But I never toll anyone.
Christmas was only I day
ahead. I wrapped up the
present for my cat and put it
under the sparkling Christmas
tree. 1t was a small cat. My
mom and dad thought it was
a ball to play with but it
wasn't. My parent., thanked
me for buying the cat lur my
cat. I love cats.
Then I kissed my mom and
.dad and went to my big bed.
I hoped I would get a new
bike. I 'hoped my .big cat
would like my present. I love
Christmas. Everybody docs
Happiest Christmas ever
The children of Mary Stirc
were. laughing and shouting
around the Christmas tree,
looking at the presents, It was
Christmas Eve. Mary knew
she should be in the spirit of
Christmas, but ever since Bill
had gone off to the war, she
couldn't enjoy things like
that. She hadn't gotten a letter
from Bill in over three weeks.
Shc used to get one every
week—She was worried that
something had happened to
him.
She watched her two
daughters, Laura 'and Ashley,
and her son, Tim, throw tinsel
at each other.
'You know what grandma
will say • when she and
grampa come. She'll tell you
to clean it up and to put it
back on the tree.'
'Yes mother', said Ashley.
Mary went to the kitchen to
make tea. Oh how she wished
Bill were here with her to
watch their children grow up.
The kettle started to boil,
when there was a knock on
the door.
`Grandma and grampa arc
early tonight,' Mary said to
the kids as she went to open
the door.
`Bill!!!' she cried. `What
are you doing hcre!7' '
'Well, I hurt niy leg in'
battle, so they sent me home.'
He gave Mary a huge hug.
Laura, Ashley and Tim carne
running in to hug him. He
laughed at them, all covered
with tinsel. They were all
glad to be a family again. It
certainly was the happiest
Christmas ever!
