I would like to encourage people to phone me if they have news to share with the readers. Many of you think that nothing newsworthy ever happens in your lives, but for those people who have moved away from the community, some to another province, and still subscribe to their local paper, they look forward to reading about friends they have left behind. So what may seem unimportant in your life may be very interesting to someone else and in a way it keeps them in touch with their friend and relatives from this area. Murray brothers talk about everything, even play card game One Murray brother and his five brothers met last Friday night for a real old-fashioned sirs -hand game of cards. It started off that one brother forgot - he had gone to a hockey game. We won't say where but we sent for him and he wasn't long getting there. Everything was discussed from the referendum to our national debt, Ontario debt and municipal debt. Jerry said he even called Mr. Bert Johnson's MPP office in Stratford, about the 90 Ontario Hydro supervisors Dublin by Dorothy Dillon 345-2883 getting a raise of $700,000. The Murray brothers hoped and prayed that the politicians would get their country back on the right track again. , Oh, by the way, Jerry, Joe and Ronald won cards (not by too much) over Cyril, Jerome and Arthur. Merry Christmas to one and all. Girl Guides visit buddies Kim Bilckc and her Girl Guides visited Monday evening and met their new buddies at Queensway. The guides and residents hope to establish a relationship through regular visits. The Girl Guide Investiture will be held at Queensway Dec. 18. Thursday was a full day for everyone whcn Grand Cove Choir gave their Christmas program. They presented a wonderful variety of Christmas music. Without a doubt the highlight of our week was Sunday's family Christmas dinner. We were thrilled td welcome family and friends Queensway for the traditional Christmas dinner of turkey, ham, vegetables, salads and of course Christmas pudding.
