Tanks to be inspected
Mayor Irwin Johnston, the
towns representative on the
Seaforth Public Uilit), Com-
mission, reported tc. Council at
its Nov. 14 meetirl the PUC
has decided to have ILS elevated
water tanks re -inspected in two
years.
An inspection foul id the tanks
structurally sound bat requiring
cosmetic maintenance that
would cost an estimated
$170,000, the mayor said, so
the utility decided pass on the
cosmetics for now.
Mayor Johnston also told
Council 44 applications were
received for the general clerk's
position recently advertised by
the PUC.

the Giving Tree for the Huron County Christmas Bureau at
the Deloitte and Touche office on Main $t., Seaforth
recently. For every gift you bring in, you get to take some-

High school gets media lab
Media Lab - We now have
a media lab with some of the
most sophisticated desk -top
editing and production
equipment available. Our new
'video toaster' was used to
create graphics and visual
effects for the Media Studies
class video editorial program
based on 'Speakers Corner'
on City TV. Keep watching
for upcoming student
productions.

The Drama Club will be
presenting a media -theatre
extravaganza called 'Magic
Video' on Nov. 28, 29 and
Dec. 6, 7, 8. The tickets for
this 'teen comedy romp' are
$4 for ages 13 and older, or
$3 with an Angel Tree
donation canned good.
Performances will be at 7:30
pm in the gymnasium. An
entertaining hour is
guaranteed!

Junior Boys Volleyball -
The season has come to a
conclusion with the WOSSA
tournament: the boys facel
some tough competition
winning only one game. .
BUT, the experience was
extremely valuable. See ya
next season.
Senior Girls Basketball -
The girls played their final
championship game and lost
28-27 to Goderich.
Junior Girls Basketball -
The team defeated St. Marys
47-46 on Nov. 20 to achieve
first place ranking in the
Huron -Perth 'A' schools of
WOSSA. Kara Murray, Lisa
Reynolds, and Amy Hamon
were chosen to represent
Seaforth in the Huron -Perth
All-Star game on Tuesday,
Dec. 12, 7 pm at St. Michael
in Stratford. Awesome.

The Debating Team
participated in a
Parliamentary Debate at F.E.
Madill on Tuesday, Nov. 14.
Mike Mullin placed 6th in the
Novice division. Team
members Jane Powell, Laura
Stangway, Julie Agar, and
Mike Mullin will participate
in a Cross Examination
debate Dec. 1 at Sacred Heart
in Walkerton and an
Impromptu Parliamentary
debate Dec. 2 at Wilfred
Laurier University. (Chapstick
donations would be
appreciated.)
