Sebringville are concerned
about an apparent increase in
impaired driving but the
Goderich detachment of the
OPP says the statistics for this
arca are about the same or
"down a fraction" from last
year.
Sebringville OPP say in-
cidents of impaired driving are
up 53 per cent in the last two
months for its patrol zone,
compared to the same months
in 1994.
They add there has also been
a 31 per cent increase in the
total charges laid by the Perth
detachment in the last six
months, 101 to date this year
compared to 76 by the end of
November in 1994.
The Goderich detachment
says it laid 69 impaired driving
charges in all of last year,
