THE ONLY ONE CHEERING - Players from Watford don't look too thrilled as Calahan
O'Reilly of the Seaforth Novice team celebrates after scoring a goal in a game Sunday
morning at the Peter Flanagan Memorial Novice Hockey Tournament at Seaforth and
District Community Centres. Calahan was also the winner of the Sunday shoot-out.

with the Peter Flanagan memorial trophy and plaque following a barn -burner against Exeter
at the Seaforth arena on Sunday. Thedford came back from a 2-0 deficit to beat Exeter 3-2
with just 16 seconds left on the clock. Seaforth lost to Exeter in the semi-final in another
close match that Exeter won in the final 10 seconds. From left: T.J. Van Engelen; Brent

NOV. 16 GAMES
DUMPER 6 PARR LINE 0
Parr Line men were no
slouches but they never got
any breaks on goal scoring.
Dumpers line up a half-dozen
goals scored by John Cairns,
Tony Van Den Heuvel, Keith
Eppmberger, Mike Smale and
Bob McKenzie. Lots of help
came from Don Henderson,
John . Eppinberger, Harold
Hugill and Steve Eckert Jr.
RIDERS 3 KNIGHTS 0
This was definitely not the
Knights' game as nothing
went right at all as you can
see by the score! But the
Riders cleaned up house with
goals scored by Jason Phelan
and Mr.'B'. Their helpers
were Jerry Zwep, Rob
Hunking and Lawrence Vink.
WINTHROP 2 GRADS 4
Winthrop men squeeze in
two sure goals as the Grads
slacken off. Goals for
Winthrop were scored by
Dwayne Pryce and Jerry
Bremner and assistance came
from Dan Hoggart and Mike
Thomas. Now the Grads take
the lead and goals were
achieved by Mac O'Neil for a
brilliant 'hat trick' and a lone
goal by Chris Goris with help
from Martin Wynja. Good job
time ran out or Winthrop may
have caught up with the score
or even taken over the lead
for a win.
NOV. 1S GAMES
PARR LINE 2 SOCIALS 0
Socialites have plenty of
esteem and are always on the
move but just came up a little
short on goals. Parr Line's
energy is still holding up as
goals were scored by Cathy
Innes and smiley Glenda
ot. Quick m Sandra s
Wilson, came
from Cheryl
Kruse and Vickie Carter.
PERTH 0 WINTHROP 0
Very close game as both
teams played beck and forth
and goalies were outstanding
in their performance at
keeping the score at a zip -zip
game!
ROYALS 1 CYCLONES 0
Now hear this! The Royals
have beaten the Cyclones,
who have not lost a game this
season. The Cyclones had
plenty of players and lots of
potential for goal scoring, but
just couldn't put that ball into
the net. That's right folks, the
Royals' hero is 'Mr. Keith
Innes' with direct passing
from Chuck Dow and Chris
Talbot. The goalie for the
Royals, Rob Dearing, out -did
himself in this game. He
played superb goal -tending.
