FISCHER: in loving memory of a
dear mother, Joyce Fischer who
passed away Nov. 24, 1992 and
who shared the love of Jesus with
us and many others in her short
stay on earth.
The time spent with a loved one
dear,
Seems too short...so see and
hear..
The ones that God has given to
you.
Look to Jesus for strength...He'll
see you through,
He wants to bring healing and
help to your fold.
Most of all eternal life in Heaven
to your living soul.
Call out to Jesus, He wants to
hear...
From you and ail that He holds
dear.

believes in him shall not perish but

MCLELLAN: In loving memory of
a husband, father and grandfather,
Ken, who passed away one year
ago, November 26, 1994, -
They say that time heals
everything,
We know that isn't so,
Because it hurts as much today,
As it did a year ago.
You suffered in silence,
Your spirit did not bend,
You faced your pain with courage,
Until the very end.
You tried so hard to stay with us,
Your fight was all in vain,
God took you to His loving home,
And freed you from the pain.
If tears could build a stairway.
And memories build a lane,
We would climb all the way to
Heaven, •
And bring you home again.
Sadly missed by wife Merle, Jill
and Brian, Robyn and Dan,
Maegan, Scott and Stephanie. 46-

New bylaw restricts big trucks
Seaforth Council passed a
motion to draft a bylaw that
will restrict vehicles more than
5.000 kg from town roads
exec for delivery, at its
re meeting Nov. 7. Coun-
t' decided to go beyond
merely restricting overt
parking for these large vehicles
it 'feels local roads weren't
built for.
PC is popular
The new Progressive Conser-
vative Ontario government, led
by Premier Mike Han -is, has
soared to new heights of
popularity, according to the
most recent Southam News -
Angus Reid poll released
Friday.
The poll was conducted at
the end of last mbnth and
found 58 per cent of decided
voters support the Harris
government, up six percentage
points since September and 13
points since it took power last
June, with 45 per cent of the
popular vote.
Since the election the
Liberals have slid six points to
25 per cent and the New
democrats have gone down five
points to 16 per cent.
According to last Friday's
poll, almost two out of every
three people in this province,
or 60 per cent, now approve of
the government's over-all per-
formance, whereas 34 per cent
disapprove.
The poll is considered ac-
curate within plus or minus 4.5
percentage points, 19 times in
20.

Deputy -Reeve Bill Teall
noted that some might feel the
municipality is penny-pinching
and that these vehicles have
some kind of right to continue
driving and parking where they
will, as they have in the past,
but repairing the damage these
large vehicles cause on local
roads costs taxpayers about
$70,000 to fix.
Council recently reached an
agreement with local truckers
that established an official
Block Parents active again in town
parking area for l:uge trucks in
town, after the initiative of a
local trucker also concerned
about the public safety of his
practise of parking his large rig
on the street outside his home.
Two new street lights have
been installed on Railway
Street, as were budgeted for
this year. Another light has
been installed at Station Road
where Seaforth's municipal
truck parking 10' was recently
established.
Block Parents in Seaforth is
again active.
The Seaforth Co -Operative
Children's Centre has taken on
the dormant program.
At last Tuesday's meeting,
Council decided to again sup-
port Block Parents locally by
posting the organization's signs
at entrances to town, with the
proviso that the municipality be
regularly provided with an up-
to-date list of contacts.
The last time Block Parents
was active here, the program
fizzled out but the town wasn't
told, so the signs remained
posted when they shouldn't
have been.
