Parr Line shuts out Winthrop
NOV. 9 GAMES
RAIDS 0 CYCLONES 3
Raiders played well the first
half of the game and then
died in the second half.
Cyclones are on a roll as
goals are scored by Adam
O'Neil and chippy Mike
Doorleyers. Keen passing by
Murray Smith, Dan O'Neil
and Greg Hindermarsh.
RIDERS 1 PARR LINE 2
Riders ' played hard and
were full steam ahead as Jim
Butson sinks a big, one into
the net with assistance from
Jeff Allen. But Parr Line
takes the lead with a minute
left in the game .when Adrian
Salverda chops the ball into
the net and Steve Gibbings
captures the . first goal. 'No
assistance was needed.
GRADS 6 KNIGHTS 0
The Knights played strong
and hard the first half of the
game and relaxed in the last
half as the Grads popped in
six quick goals. Scoring was
done by Chris Goris, Dana
Bean, Jerry Burtch and a hat
trick by Al Wynja. Quick
passes came from Martin and
Steve Wynja and John Goris.
PARR LINE 4 WINTH 0
Winthrop ladies played
well. They had plenty of
speed and extra players but
couldn't buy a goal. Wow!
Parr Line had a line bit
and "captured a few als.
Goals scored by Bev ;hea,
light-footed Bonnie '0 shy
Vickie Carter, and old
smoothie Cathy Innes. 'Keen
passes by 'quiet' Glenda
Chaput and speedy Sandra
Wilson. 'Lisa K', hope you
recover soon. We hate to lose
any team players.
PERTH 0 SOCIALS 2
Perth, don't get discouraged
as I'm sure you'll get the
scoring bit down soon, so
keep up the steady pace. The
Socialites have done it again
as `superwoman' Barb Elliott
twirls, shoots and scores
'twice' no less. Great passing
by Marg Henderson and
Diane Howsen.
WINTH 1 DUMPERS 7
Winthrop finally got on the
scoreboard as smoothie Mike
Thomas drills the ball into the
top comer of the net assisted
by Greg Clark who says `see
guys, it can be done'.
Dumpers are slow in the first
half and pick up the pace in
the second half as goals were
scored by Bob McKenzie,
Jerry Wright, Bill Dale, Gary
Dill and `hot -to -trot' Kevin
Van Den Neucker. Direct
passes came from Brett
Finlayson and Steve Eckert
Jr.
