Remembering those
who did not return
I woke up thinking of my brother Bill and what good pals we
were. He was not only my brother but my best friend.
He and I both loved to dance and were dancing in our living
room and having so much fun the day he had to catch the
train.
We all went to the train with Bill but all I can remember as
the train left the station was waving not goodbye to him but
I'lI see you soon. I always believed I'd be at that same station
to welcome him home. Instead we received the word he was
killed in action.
I couldn't and wouldn't let myself think that he wasn't
coming home. There are so many families whr
same news we did and who cried. The tears s'
cheeks and the paper is getting damp as I sit I.
bet.
We are not without hope for I believe we will again sec our
loved ones but we have missed so many good years.
My love to all who have lost someone on this, our Remem-
brance Day.
