Residents preparing for Christmas bazaar
Residents of Maplewood
were busy preparing for
Halloween and the Chnstmas
bazaar.
The fall fair parade was a
good way to get the month
started. It is always fun to
watch the youngsters parade
along in their costumes.
A perfect sunny day was set
aside for our autumn colour
tour. The leaves along the
way through Benmiller,
Saltford, Goderich and
Bayfield were beautiful.
Residents enjoyed church
services prepared by Pat
Roberts and Rev. Bruce
Cook. Donnie Smith, Hilda
MapIewood
Manor
Bach and Robert McMillan,
members of the Presbyterian
Bible Study group, also led a
service.
Anne Downey and Marjory
Maloney come each week to
organize our euchre, games.
Bingo, exercises, Expositor
hour and the baking club are
other activities that keep
everyone busy.
After carving pumpkins and
bagging candy, residents were
ready for the Halloween trick
or treaters. The Huron Strings
were on hand for a great
Halloween party. We
especially enjoyed the
clogging numbers by Jane
Ladd and Marie Flynn.
Ladies are very busy
preparing for our Christmas
bazaar to be held Dec. 2 from
10 am to 3 pm. Barbara Scott
and Betty Harris come every
week for crafts and are
making sure there will be
something for everyone.
Don't forget to mark your
calendar and hope to see you
there(
