The Seaforth Recreation
Deptartment will be hosting
power skating again this fall.
This gives your children a
chance to practice and warm
up before the hockey, ringettc
and figure skating programs
begin. The power skating pro-
gram will be held from Sept.
18 to Sept. 28. Two - four day
weeks for one hour each night.

The Terry Fox Run will be
held in Seaforth and all of
Canada on Sunday, September
17. Seaforth's Run, Walk,
Bike, etc.. will begin at .the
Seaforth and District Commun-
ity Centres at 10 a.m. Please
try to .register and start before
noon. Pledge sheets will be
available around town. The
Miracle of the dream runs on.
Don't miss out. Sincc it
started in 1981, the Terry Fox
Run has become the largest
single -day fundraising event for
cancer research held anywhere
in the world. Each year, on the
second -Sunday-of- September
following Labour Day, more
and more people take part.
Today, over 500,000 Canadians
of all ages gather at an esti-
mated 3,000 Run sites across
the country. In recent years,
Canadians alone have raised
over $7 million per year during
the run and with each passing
year, that figure has increased.
The run offers those who take
part the opportunity to experi-
ence what Terry stood for -
courage, determination and the
will to be steadfast in pursuit
of a dream. Come out and be a
part of Terry's Dream.

leisure activities again this
year. Programs such as wood
refinishing, water colour paint-
ing, dog obedience, fitness,
step training, line dancing,
volleyball and basketball.

Minor Hockey has started.
Practices for all teams were
held last Sunday, a.ad they will
continue this Sunday, Sept. 17
as well. Below is a list of

Mites and Tykes - 3 - 4 pm.

Atom' - 5 - 6:30 pm
Pee Wee -6:30 -bpm
Bantam -8-9:30 pm
Midget - 9:30 - 11:00 pm.

hosting a Wrap up pot luck for

beginning at 6:00 p.m. Please
