peacefully at Stevenson Memorial
Hospital, Alliston on Thursday,
September 7, 1995, Hugh
MacPhail, formerly of Seaforth,
Ontario in his 76th year. Husband
of the late Laura Stewart. Father of
Douglas and his wife Sheryl of
Bradford. Survived by his sister
Charlotte Searway of Oshawa, 5
grandchildren and 1 great
granddaughter. Friends called at
the Lathangue and Skwarchuk
Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Street,
Bradford, Ontario. A memorial
service was held in the chapel on
Saturday, September 9, 1995 at 1
p.m. Donations to the Canadian
Cancer Society would be

MILLER, Selma - Mrs. Selma
Miller, a resident of Maplewood
Manor, Seaforth and formerly of
RR 1, Bornholm passed away at
the Mitchell Nursing Home on
Saturday, September 2, 1995 in
her 89th year. Born in Logan
Township on April 24, 1907, she
was the former Selma Martha
Hillebrecht, a daughter of the late
Frederick Hillebrecht and the
former Mary Vietor. On January
20, 1927 she was married to Irvin
C. Miller who predeceased her on
March 14, 1991. Following their
marriage the couple farmed at Lot
32, Concession 10 of Logan
Township. She was a member of
St. Peter's Lutheran Church,
Brodhagen and was a Honorary
Member of the L.C.W. of the
church. She is survived by two
daughters Shirley Siemon and her
husband Roy of Brodhagen and
Glenda Walter and her husband
Gerald of RR 2, Goderich, two
brothers Milton Hillebrecht and his
wife Laura of Concord, California
and Carl Hillebrecht and his wife
Vera of Mitchell and a sister Esther
Eickmeier and her husband Oscar
of R.R. 1, Bornholm. Also surviving
are grandchildren Sheila Peluso
and her husband Benny of
Toronto, Robert Siemon and his
wife Sherri of R.R. 1, Bornholm,
Roger Siemon and his wife Brenda
of Brodhagen, Gayle Ahrens and
her husband Hugh of R.R. 1,
Dublin and Valerie Siemon of
Mitchell and great grandchildren
Matthew and Emily. Peluso, Darryl,
James and Kayla Siemon. Besides
her husband she was predeceased,
by a grandson Barry Siemon
(1993) and by a brother Irvin
Hillebrecht (1991). Friends were
received at the Lockhart Funeral
Home, 109 Montreal St. Mitchell on
Monday. The funeral service was
held at St. Peters Lutheran
Church, Brodhagen on Tuesday at
2 :00 p.m. with Pastor Bob Book
officiating. Interment in the church
cemetery. AR expressions of
sympathy donations may be made
to St. Peters Lutheran Church or
