Centenaires playing chane s The Seaforth Centenaires have scheduled a home -and - home pre -season exhibition series with the Thamesford Trojans, defending champions of the Ontario Hockey As- sociation's Junior "D"evelopment League. Seaforth's junior hockey team will play in Thamesford Friday, Sept. 8 at 8:30 p.m., then host the defending champs here on Saturday Sept. 23 at a time to be announced. The Centenaires have also scheduled their traditional "Rookie Game" against the OHA Western Junior C League's Brussels Bulls on the Labour Day weekend. They are hosting a three day co-ed slo- pitch tournament at Lions and Optimist Parks in Seaforth during the weekend of Homecoming '95. He lives near Ailsa Craig, his specialities are animal care, behaviour and handling, and he began duties at the Clinton field office a week ago Monday. Richards has extensive experience in swine business and production management, and is a 1980 graduate of the University of Guelph, with a major in agricultural economics and a minor in animal science. He has been the manager of a purebred swine breeding operation near Brussels, the swine breeding stock and marketing manager for Quality Swine Co-operative near Shedden, and, as well, has experience with a swine equipment manufacturer. He was a lecturer at Centralia College of , Agricultural Technology, ea- facilitator in swine nutrition management and swine housing and a counsellor with the Farm Family Advisor Program Ricliards is past president of the Ontario Institute of Apologists, Western Branch and has served on many. committees including the Pork Congress, Ontario Swine Herd' Health Improvement Association, the Junior Barrow Show at the Royal Winter Fair, and has been involved in the Ontario Swine Breeders' Association. She is entered in both the shot put and discus. She also placed 13 in a field of about 22 in the later event, he specialty, in Montreal at the national senior championships a week ago Saturday. This is her last year of junior eligibility. Perrie, 19, was disappointed in her performance at Montreal, throwing about 38.08 metres and just missing the top 12, the cutoff for the finals. She says if she had thrown as well as she did in warmup she would have placed about sixth or seventh. She has been throwing more than 40 metres in training this summer. She trains on average about twice a week in London under the tutelage of John Allen at, the London -Western Track and Field Club. He is also the coach at Banting high school in London where he coaches Jason Tunks, one of top throwers in the country in both the discuss and shot.
