This fun and exciting program is held at the Agriculture Exhibi- tion Building from July 3 to August 18 from 9:(X) a.m. to -1:(X) p.m. for children ages 3 to 12 years. Before and after care is also available. Activities such as puppet making, magic shows, treasure hunts, penny carnival, crafts, safety issues and much much more will be offered. Special trips • to the Dungannon Zoo, Pioneer Sports World, and Storybook Gardens to name a few will also be enjoyed. A green flyer was circulated to all the arca schools, and detailed informa- tion was in it. Ortcc again Scaforth will be hosting Canada Day Celebrations on Saturday, July 1. The day will begin with the Firemen's Breakfast, eggs, bacon, saus- age, homefrics, pancakes, toast, coffee. After breakfast come to the Victoria Park for the Annual Heritage Walk Poker Rally. Registration for the walk will be held between 11:30 and 12 noon. Prizes will be awarded for best hand, second - best hand and low hand. After' the walk, everyone is welcome to stay in the park for enter- tainment in the bandshell. The Cavan Cloggers will entertain from 1:(X) -2:(X) and the Scaforth-Dashwood Commun- ity Band will follow from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Thc Giant Fire- works Display will once again Tight up the sky at Dark at the Scaforth District Higli School. The Seaforth and District Minor Hockey Association is going to adopt the name 'Stars' as a team nickname. They will use the Dallas Stars team col- ours so that some continuity for colours is possible. This change will make it easier when ordering team jerseys. The Minor Hockey Associ- ation would like to have a 'Design a logo contest'. Con- testants must incorporate C4th and Stars in the Logo. If you arc interested in submitting a logo plcasc do so before Thurs- day, Junc 29 at 6:00 p.m. Logo submissions can be made to the Sealorth • and District Community Centres Office, the Recreation Office, or mail thein to Seaforth and District Minor • Hockey, P.O. The Minor Hockey Executive requesting the return of the 1993-94 Midget OMHA Cham- pionship Jerseys or a $25 cheque made payable to ' Scaforth and District Minor Hockey. Sweaters or cheques can be dropped off at the Arcna Office.
