meet in Mitchell
Superannuated Teachers
Organization held meeting at
Main Street United Church,
Mitchell on June 13. A large
crowd was in attendance. Bob
Moorehead President, M.C.'d
the meeting. A delightful
interlude on the piano was
played by Ken Varley.
An entertaining Scottish
singer from Stratford, Orace
Severt, wearing the kilt,
thoroughly entertained with the
haggis song, accompanied by
Margaret McIntyre on the
piano. Harry Nesbitt introduced
teacher, Ian Munro as guest
speaker. Ian (born in Scotland)
spoke on the topic "Scottish
Humour".
Greetings were given by June
Boussey, President of District
#9, Ralph Smith, President of
Huron Unit also gave greetings.
A business meeting followed.
Reports were given by
Secretary, Joan Hamilton;
Treasurer, Marg . Drummond;
Travel and Social, Alice
Herbert; and Good Will by
Dorothy Balsden.
