HomeMy WebLinkAboutThe Huron Expositor, 1995-06-14, Page 161e -THE HURON EXPOSITOR, June 14, 191/5 TIM DANCE FOR HEART RAISES THOUSANDS - Sandra Machan and Sue Overholt were two of the many people to take part in Dance for Heart at the Seaforth District Arena on Wednesday night. The participants helped raise $2,368 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Summer Fun is planned The Seaforth Recreation Department will once again be hosting Summer Fun '95. This fun, exciting program is held at the Agriculture Exhibition Building from July 3 to August 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for children ages 3 to 12 years. Before and after care is also available. Activities such as puppet making, magic shows, treasure hunts, penny carnival, crafts, safety issues and much much more will be offered. Special trips to the Dungannon Zoo, Pioneer Sports World, and Storybook Gardens to name a few will also be enjoyed. Qualified staff will ensure your children will have a fun and safe summer. A green flyer was also circulated to all the area schools, and detailed information was in it. If you didn't receive a copy, or would like more information please call the Recreation Office at 527-0882. Plan to stay in Seaforth on Canada Day. Once again Seaforth will be hosting Canada Day Celebrations on Saturday, July 1. The day will begin with the Firemen's Breakfast, eggs, bacon, saus- age, homefries, pancakes, toast, coffee. Come out and fill up for the day. After breakfast Recreation Preview by Marty Bedard come to the Victoria Park for the Annual Heritage Walk Poker Rally. Registration for the walk will be held between 11:30 and 12 noon. Prizes will be awarded for best hand, second best hand and low hand. After the walk, everyone is welcome to stay in the park for entertainment in the bandshell.
