OUTRAGEOUS! Students at
Seaforth District High School
spent an afternoon last week
doing the most outrageous
things they could think of -
such as passing peanut but-
ter between noses and flying
down a wet banana slide.
They were doing this to intel-
lectually prepare themselves
for the future demands of,
the increasingly competitive
workplace in the modem
world. Well, maybe not. It
was a fun event to promote
participation as part of fit-
ness week. They called it
"MOGA Madness".

Students make mess
Students at Seaforth District
High School spent a sunny
afternoon last Thursday making
a big mess.
They made a good job of it,
with creative activities such as
- a" nut butter nose pass,
"barfrelay, banana slide,
water balloon toss, water bal-
loon volleyball and tom puff
eating contest.
And there were no detention
because of absentees. Nobody
skipped these classes, the event
featured almost 100 per cent
attendance.
It was called "MOGA Mad-
ness". The acronym stands for

tivity, and the event was part
of fitness week to encourage
student participation with prizes
awarded in various categories.
The fun afternoon was a
project of teacher Terry
Johnson's Grade 12 leadership
development class. Students Jill
Wood, Kim Diegel, Laura
McKerchcr and Tracy Janmaat
dreamed up the idea for messy
events that would appeal to
classmates.
Judging by the high turnout,
the organizers were on the
right wavelength.
Sixteen teams representing
each home room at the local
high school took part.
