Miss Inez Tuckey of London spent
the week end with relatives in town.
Miss Edna Pfaff, teacher at Ship-
ka School, is ill at the home of her
parents in town suffering from
pleurisy. ,
With the passing of the snow and
the spring-like weather quite a num-
ber of pansies were .found blooming
in Mr. T. Coilingwood's garden.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry yon of Len-
desboro returned home after a cou-
ple of weeks visit with their dau-
ghter Mrs. A. Kerslake, of Usborne.
Miss Edna Pfaff and Miss Dor-
othy Balkwill, of town, attended the
"At Home" of the Stratford Normal
school on Friday evening of last
week.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Pedlar, of'Pig
eon, Mich., accompanied by Mr.
Samuel Pedlar, of Ailsa. Craig spent
Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
John Pedlar.
The James St. League planned to
visit the Hensall League Monday
evening, but owing to the impas-
sable condition_ of the roads, the visit
was postponed.
Miss Vera Jones had the rare
pleasure of enjoying a bouquet of
flowers given her by Mrs. W. D. Yeo
on Sunday last, who that morning
picked it from her own garden.
Mr. Wm. J. Hamblyn of the S. M.
Sanders Mfg. Co., returned Tues-
day from Bowmanville, where he
was called owing to the illness and
subsequent death of his father.
On Monday Mr. Geo. Hunter, of
Usborne, delivered =six pigs to I.
Armstrong & Sons and received
$10.50 more by having them graded.

The Times -Advocate have received
many subscriptions during the past
few weeks but have not been able to
correct the label sheet up-to-date.
This we hope to do in the very near
future.
Mr. Samuel Johns returned Tues-
day evening after spending a week
with his uncle Rev. Sohn Ball, of
Lambeth. Mr. Ball is confined to
his home with illness and slight
hopes are held for his recovery.

Plucking roses from bushes in the
