SUMMER ACTIVE
A new program promoting the benefits of regular
physical activity and encouraging a personal
commitment to an active, healthy lifestyle. The target
is all Canadians regardless of age, ability or gender
with special emphasis on the inactive. For 12 years,
Canada's Fitweek was highly successful and widely
popular. In 1994 more than 7 million individuals
participated in 17,000 events held from coast to coast.
Based on an extensive consultation process involving
all levels of government, national organizations,
companies and communities, it was concluded that "it
time to grow". Seaforth, along with all other towns
in Huron County will be celebrating Summer Active
from May 15 to June 2, 1995. On Monday, May 15
people Canada wide will be lacing up with
SNEAKER DAY, to launch Summer Active '95.
Why don't you be one of the - millions to do so.
Watch the paper, and listen to the radio for other
Summer Active events in this area.
