Blyth Singers
pay tribute to
music of 1940's
In commemoration of the
50th anniversary of the end of
World War II, the Blyth
Festival Singers will be
presenting a Musical Tribute to
the 19408.
This entertainment trip down
memory lane will be held on
Saturday, May 13 at the
Goderich Township
Community hall, Holmesville.
At 2 p.m. that afternoon the
Festival Singers will host a
Victory Tea, complete with
musical entertainment and a
sing -a -long to old favorites.
In the evening, starting at
7;30 p.m. a cabaret event will
light up the community centre -
with a buffet dinner, dancing
to a live a band, and musical
presentations from the Blyth
Festival Singers and individual
performers.
Live music will be performed
by an area band including
vocalist Cathy Whalen,
keyboardist Gail Selkirk and
bass player Wade Whittaker.

Don't Fence Me in or Smoke
Gets in Your Eyes? When was
the last time you heard the big
band sound?
The Blyth Festival Singers
Musical Tribute to the 1940s

and evening of fine song,

ings which was proclaimed on
November 30, 1994. This act
requires that facilities, includ-
ing homes for the aged, either
be designated as non-smoking

3:00 p.m.at t. Patrick's Church, Dublin with Father Tony
Delciancio officiating. Mother and Father of the Bride are Michael
and Patricia MacRae of Dublin. Mother and Father of the Groom
are Laverne and Donna Rose of Mitchell. Matron of honour was
Denise O'Leary sister of the Bride of Mitchell. Bridesmaids were
Kathy Mailloux, friend of the Bride of Seaforth, Paula Purdy,
friend of the Bride of Brodhagen, and Jackie Wietersen, sister of
the Groom of Mitchell. Best man was Richard Boyce , friend of the
Groom,Mitchell. Ushers were John Rose brother of the Groom,
Mitchell, Kurt MacRae, brother of the Bride, London and Dike
Tam, friend of the Groom, Mitchell. Flower girl was Jessica De
Jong, cousin of the Bride, Seaforth. Ring bearer was Tr vor
Jackson, cousin of the Bride, London. Readers were Marylou
Malone, Godmother of the Bride, Whalen Corner, Krista Rose,
niece of the Groom, Mitchell and Jenny MacRae, cousin of the
Bride, London. Soloists were Lori Lynn Stapleton, Jolene Cronin,
and Michael MacRae all of Dublin. Violinist was Carol Anne
McQuaid of Toronto. Organist was Joan Gaffney. A reception was
held in Mitchell at the Community Centre and the newlywed
couple will reside in Mitchell.

material will be sent back to
individual schools.
