A combination of technical knowledge and administrative skills will be utilized in the development and implementation of procedures, systems and policies to safe- guard the assets of the County. The ideal candidate will have a university degree and professional accounting designation, combined with a minimum of 5 years of management experience, preferably in a municipal environment. A knowledge of prevalent computerized accounting systems and experience in implementing a management information system, as well as excellent interpersonal skills are necessary to join this senior management team. MANAGER OF FINANCIAL SERVICES This will he a temporary position (18 months) in the Treasurer's department to provide assistance during the transition period, as the financial and management information systems arc developed and implemented. Reporting to the Treasurer, duties and responsibilities include assisting all departments with the preparation and analysis of budgets and financial statements; assisting with the development of financial and management information systems in a computerized environ- ment; and assisting with financial reporting as required. Qualified candidates will have a professional accounting designation, experience using computerized financial and management information systems, and excellent interpersonal skills.
