Annual meeting
Wednesday night
Don't forget about the Seaforth
and District Minor Hockey Asso-
ciation's ANNUAL MEETING
TONIGHT at 7:30 p.m.
The Happy Citizens would like
to remind all members of their
regular meeting on Thursday,
April 6, 1995 at 1:30 p.m. at the
Seaforth Legion. Cards will
follow the meeting.
The Seaforth Senior Games
will begin this week with five -
pin bowling. Anyone 55 years of
age or older are very welcome to
participate. The five top scores
will qualify for the District
Games in Stratford in June.
Bowling begins at 1:15 p.m. at
the Starlight Lanes. For more
information on the Senior Games
contact the Seaforth Recreation
Office at 527-0882.

The Seaforth and District
Community Centres will be
offering ROLLER BLADE
HOCKEY this summer. Regis-
tration will be done through the
schools, so keep a watch out for
this fun and new sport. For more
information please call the
Seaforth' District Arena at 527-
1272.
There is still room to register
in the Seaforth Recreation
Department's spring activities.
Activities include dog obedience,
aerobics, step training and Senior
Line Dancing. Call the Recre-
ation Office at 527-0882 to
register.
The Seaforth Harmony Kings
would like to invite you to their
13th Annual Barbershop Show -
"The Homecoming". The show
will be held at the Seaforth and
District Community Centres,
Saturday, April 8 with two
shows at 1:59 and 7:59 p.m. Por

Seaforth Branch of the Cana-
dian Cancer Society will be
having a one-night blitz,
Wednesday, April 26 from 6:00
to 9:00 p.m. Volunteers are
needed. For more information

If you missed the registration
for Minor Ball and Minor Soccer
in Seaforth you still have a little
time left. Minor Ball will still be
accepting registrations at the
Recreation Office until April 13.
Minor Soccer will also be
accepting late registrations at the
Recreation Office but you have
until the end of April. No phone
registrations will be accepted.
The Recreation Office is located
inside the Seaforth District
Arena and office hours are:
Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to
12:00 noon and 1:00 to 4:30
p.m.
Arc you interested in earning a
little extra spending money this
summer, and between the ages
of 11 and 19 years? If so
Scaforth will be hosting a Junior
Development Umpires Clinic.
The Clinic will be held on Sun-
day, May 7, 1995 from 9:00 am
to 1:00 p.m. at the Seaforth
Optimsit Hall. Registration fee
will be 515. To register please

Senior Shuffleboard continues
every Wednesday afternoon from
1:30 to 4:00 p.m. All seniors arc
welcome to enjoy an afternoon
of fun and fellowship.
Crime Stoppers
Thieves entered the lot at Hart
Ford, McKillop Township, on
December 24 and removed several
parts from a vehicle. Removed were
glass roof panels, map Tight, vanity
mirror, shifter knob, fog lights,
licence plate frame, canvass cargo
cover, and ash tray.

Cellar -dwellers bowl up a storm

Senior bowling was really excit-
ing on Friday, March 31. The
Canadiens captained by Ann Wood,
ended up number one just two
points ahead of the Jets.
The Canucks who had been in the
basement all season really started to
roll the last few weeks. They fin-
ished two points ahead of the
Oilers.
Eric MatzoId was again high
bowler with 282 single and 718
triple. Betty Leonhardt had high
single 21Q and Olave Little took
high triple 526 for the ladies.
Bowling over 200 were John Aubin
222, Fred Munnings 202, Campbell
Wey 205, Ron Bennett 202,217,
Ann Wood 209 and John Van Loon
226 and 241.
Over their averages were Pauline
Bennett, Marjorie Rock, Betty
Oldacre, Pat O'Reilly, Jean Stewart
and Bill Mitchell.
We all sang 'Happy Birthday' to
Pat O'Reilly - many more Pat.
This was the last day of sched-
uled bowling. See you at the Ban-
quet April 19 at 6:30 p.m.
Golf club
sets dates
The Seaforth Golf and Country
Club has announced this year's
tournament schedule. The Ladies
Invitational is scheduled for
Thursday, July 6 and the Men's
Invitational is slated for Sat. Sept.
9.
Other highlights of this season's
schedule, all tournaments 1 p.m.

Doves increase lead, Loons second

weekend and Boston College beat
Maine for the NCAA championship
this weekend.
