Fond memories of past Easters
Easter time again! Does everyone
remember hunting for chocolate
covered eggs or jelly beans
throughout the house when you
were younger? Or how about
receiving a fancy new hat or new
outfit to wear to church? Everyone
has their own fond memories of the
holiday and it is fun to reminis-
cence.
March seemed to fly past at
Seaforth Minor Retirement Home
and everyone is quite busy here.
The residents have been taking
advantage of the nice weather. They
have been enjoying travelling
throughout the country roads, seeing
the scenery or places that they used
to live. Some of the excursions
have been to the coffee shop, out
for ice cream or doing errands
downtown. Thank you to everyone
for providing transportation. It is
greatly appreciated and our resi-
dents look forward to getting out
and getting in the fresh air.
On March 2 Kelly Bosman and
Lisa Kennedy entertained with their
singing talent. They sang various
J Seaforth Manor`

i
songs that were enjoyed by all.
Some residents were up dancing.
Speaking of dancing, wasn't it a
teat to watch Verna Edgar and her
daughter, Carolyn, iinedance for us
that evening!
On March 10, Snowdon Empor-
ium Fashions came here to show us
some of their clothes. Everyone
enjoyed seeing the new spring
colors and designs. For St. Patrick's
Day, we celebrated by having a
'green day'. Everyone dressed up in
the color of green. Mrytle Read
won the contest with 10 items of
green. Table favours were made by
Barb Shannon. Little black lepre-
chaun hats filled with candies. Wine
also was served for supper for some
extra Irish spirit.
The residents also have been
enjoying weekly activities which
include bingo, eucftre, Dowling,
checkers, exercises, manicures,
baking, .foot massages, back rubs,
movies, crokinole, uno and crafts.
It's great to see such active partici-
pation and enthusiasm.
Get well wishes are .extended to
volunteer, Dorothy Munday, who
recently was a patient in the hospi-
tal. Hope you are feeling better
soon!
We also would like to extend a
warm welcome to Linda Beynan,
our newest staff member. Nice to
have you a part of our team here!
Jody Brown will be taking her
maternity leave now. Good luck
with the new baby!
Welcome to Marion Marshall and
