The Seaforth and District

the door. If you are against these
suggestions and have ones of
your own, please attend the
meeting and share with the asso-
ciation. Your input is necessary
and valuable.

Golding tribute successful
A plea a few weeks ago for
members of the public to con-
tribute financially for a plaque
commemorating one of Hibbert
Township's native sons has been
successful thus far.
Bob Hamilton, part of a sub-
committee of Hibbert council in
charge of recognizing William
Golding, a former federal member
of parliament, said approximately
$400 of the $525 projected cost of
a plaque has been raised to date
4-H club makes
art to be worn
By JESSICA BURGESS
The fashion fun continues as
the Fashionable 4 -Hers create
more great wearable art. The
meeting was held at Joan
Stewart's house at 7 p.m. on
March 21. The club discussed
plans for the achievement pro-
gram. It was decided a meeting
to ialan the achievement night
will be held on April 6.
A number of the girls chose to
fabric -paint a T -Shirt with car-
toon characters and funny pic-
tures.
Fabric painting wasn't the
only thing happening. Other
items were beaded necklaces,
origami earrings, fimo earrings
and necklaces with millefiori
designs, painted wooden, beaded
necklaces, braided leather belts
and barrettes.
Mary Lou Stewart was a big
help with the craft techniques.
The next meeting will be a
double meeting, guaranteed to
produce lots more wearable art!
