LET THE BEARDS BEGIN TO GROW! - Seaforth men may be sporting a little more facial hair as
Homecoming '95 nears. A Beard Growing Competition is taking place in anticipation of the festivities.
Here Ken Moore (centre) is the first to register. He is shown with registrar Bob O'Brien and Homecoming
Committee representative Jim Sills. Potential beard growers can register for $5 at Bob's Barber Shop
(across from the Commercial Hotel) at any time...but the sooner the better!

Children see
wonders of
springtime
Spring has arrived and the
children at the Seaforth Co-operat-
ive Children's Centre have been
discovering all the springtime won-
ders. On our neighbourhood walks
we've seen the birds busy in the
trees, lots of mud and puddles and
children riding bikes and
rollerblading. The bulbs in the front
flower beds have started to grow
and inside we've been planting our
own seeds to care for them and
watch them grow.
On March 6 we began a
"Movability" program with the
Toddlers. Movability features
"Movit" a fun loving panda bear
mascot who encourages children to
be physically active. Todate, they
have played with nerf balls, basket-
ball hoop, bean bags, music and
instruments. If you would like any
further information about this new
program feel free to contact the
centre. This may be the first step
towards your childs active living.
Happy Birthdays in March to
Kurtis Hoggart, Gwynne Burgess,
Jennie Hildebrand, Karen Norris,
Abram Martens, Eliscia Ryan,
Robyn Doig, Stephanie Weber,
William Struthers, Joshua Gerber,
Ashley Struthers.
AFTER SCHOOL GANG NEWS
The 'Afterschool gang' have been
busy in March. We did paper
m9che dinosaur eggs, tried to do
hairy sponges (sponges and grass
seed) and we also had a Hawaiian
Day during March break. We made
leis, grass skirts and musical instru-
ments from coconuts. We went
swimming, bowling and skating
during the weeks of March Break
as well. The first week of March
Break we ran a Home Alone Safely
Course. The turn out was excellent
and I'm sure they all enjoyed them-
selves. A big thank -you goes out to
Steve Hildebrand and staff for the
wonderful experience we had mak-
ing faces out of flowers.
We only have a few months left
till we begin our summer schoolage
program hopefully it goes as well.

BY M. TYNAN
Copyright 1994
An angled entrance and a contoured design for the upper floor make This home inter-
esting 10 view from the front and side and consequently suitable for a Corner lot.
Enter through double doors into a spacious foyer open to the second storey. French
doors lead into a formal living/dining arca which offers a cosy gas fireplace, feature
windows, and another french door which leads from the dining arca into a gourmet

shaped work arca, and plenty of cupboard and counter space. A large family room,
open to the kitchen and nook, provides a comfortable atmosphere for informal
gatherings, The den, set apart from the main traffic areas, would make an ideal home
office or study room.

with a raised swirl tub. The games room, complete with a closet and a three piece
ensuite. could he used as a nanny suite.
