Team penning;
fastest- growing
equine sport
by Debbie Davidson
Team penning is exciting to
watch, and by the looks of it, ex-
citing to participate in.
The fastest growing equine spout
in North America was a big hit at
Walkerton's 1994 Little Royal Fair.
Area 'cowboys' George Holm
and Marty Cassidy were responsible
for treating spectators to an action -
filled afternoon of fun. Holm,
who's been involved with the sport
for three years, said the family
sport is "lots of fun.
"Anyone who knows how to ride
a horse can go in and chase a cow."
The sport appeals to men, women
and children of all skill levels who
enjoy riding, like to work cattle and
love an action packed event. And
