LADIES BROOMBALL
March 8, 1995
Parr Line and Socialites
are playoff Champs
PARR LINE 4 - WINTHROP 2
Winthrop quickly scores two
goals to take the lead. Goals scored
by Deb Murray and Barb Elliott the
quality passes were from Donna
Arts and Tammy Nash. But Parr
Line picks up the pace in the last
ten minutes of play to grab up four
topnotch goals, credit going to
Bonnie O'Reilly, Sharon Whitfield,
Sandi Skinner and sly Glenda
Chaput, assistance came from Stella
Higenell and Cheryl Kruse. Great
game, hope to see everyone next
year.
SOCIALITES 2 - PERTH 1
Perth scores the first goal as Beth
Consitt wrist shot the ball into the
net. She thanks Liz Becker and
Cindy Moore for the excellent
passes. However the Socialites
creep in with an awesome goal
none other than Susan McLachlan
and second brilliant goal with a flip
shot into the net by Liz Hunt, dyna-
mite passes by Marg Henderson and
Carol Humphries. Hope to sec you
all next season.

MEN'S BROOMBALL
March 9, 1995
ROYALS 6 - RAIDERS 1
The Raiders lone goal was scored
by Mr. Dave Kramers as he drills
the ball from the blue line and
directly into the net the ball travels.
Is this the real 'Royals' or who is
this team who has scored 'six' neat
goals in one game. The goals were
scored by Chuck Mills, Tony Van
Miltenburg, Keith Innes, Mike
McCarthy and a new recruit Manny
De Sorisa plenty of assistance from
Chris Talbot, Alvin Dow and Ted
Mills great game guys.
EASY RIDERS 2 - GRADS 1
The Grads pop in a quick goal
scored by Chris Goris, back up help
came from Tony Van Den Heuvel
and Mike his wee brother. Riders
tie the game up with the goal
scored by Ed Van Miltenburg, so
into overtime they go with a minute
into play Darrel Eckert breaks clown
centre ice and flips ball into the net
great pass from Steve Eckert Jr.
The Riders keep the lead for the
win. Great gamc by both teams.
WINTHROP 2 - KNIGHTS 1
Paul Nyenhuis plays for the
Knights and scores a long -shot goal
from the blue line, keen passing
from Chris Wcernink and Jeff
Campbell. Winthrop keeps a win
with two goals scored by Mike
Thomas and Dwayne Pryce, assist-
ance from Jerry Bremner and Dave
Lconhardt.

Simplified Huron Expositor "Scoreboard" forma and drop boxes
are now available at the newspaper and prominently located in the
' front lobby of the Seaforth and District Community Centres. This
will enable us to get the results from any game sheets, partkularly
away games, that do not pass by Recreation Director Marty
Bedard's desk every Monday morning. These "Scoreboard" forms
r don't require much time and effort from managers or coaches to
fill out. You don't have to be Shakespeare. Just the basks are
required - who, what, when and where- legibly printed, first names
and last. Deadline for inclusion in the coming week's paper is
Mondays at noon. Late reports will not be used the following week.

help Spartans
stay alive
in playoffs
Seaforth lads
Seaforth area players were once
again prominent as the Michigan
State Spartans advanced in Central
Collegiate Hockey Association
playoff action at East Lansing,
Michigan on the weekend.
Mike Watt of Egmondville had
the Spartans' second goal in their 4-
2 win over Illinois -Chicago
Saturday, giving MSU a two -game
sweep of the best -of -three playoff.
Rem Murray of the Dublin area had
a goal and an assist in Friday
night's series opening 6-4 victory.
The Spartans advance against
Bowling Green in a sudden -death
playoff next Saturday at Joe Louis
Arena in Detroit.
Watt got perhaps his biggest goal
of the season the week before in the
Spartans final regular season game,
when his slapshot from the blueline
with :14 seconds left in regulation
time enabled the Spartans to tie
Ohio State 2-2, then beat them 3-2
by virtue of a goal two -and -a -half
minutes into overtime.
The win enabled MSU to earn
third-place and get home -ice
advantage in the first round of the
playoffs.
Spartan captain Murray finished
the regular season with 50 points,
earning points in 16 of the Spartans
final 18 games.
