HURON PERTH DISTRICT HEALTH COUNCIL
ADMINISTRATIVE
ASSISTANT
The Huron Perth District Health Council (DHC) is a newly -
formed volunteer body which provides advice to the Minister of
Health concerning the planning of health services for the coun-
ties of Huron and Perth.
The Huron Perth DHC is seeking a skilled and motivated indi-
vidual to assist the Council and staff with administrative, finan-
cial and secretarial duties. Reporting to the Executive Director,
the successful candidate will perform secretarial duties of a
highly responsible and confidential nature, keep a complete set
of computerized accounting records, including payroll, and carry
out diversified administrative responsibilities. The Administrative
Assistant will also be responsible for attending and preparing
minutes for meetings of Council and selected subcommittees
and task forces. The Huron Perth DHC is currently establishing
its first administrative and support staff. This will add an exciting
yet challenging component to this position.
The incumbent will be a graduate of a business college in
Secretarial Sciences or possess equivalent experience. The
preferred background for this position would include computer
skills in standard PC programs such as WordPerfect and Lotus
1-2-3. Experience with a Windows environment would be an
asset. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work unsu-
pervised, and several years of experience as an Executive
Secretary or Administrative Assistant are required.
This Administrative Assistant position will be full-time.
Remuneration will be negotiated within a predetermined salary
