Stephen Central Public School, Crediton, Ontario, effective March I, 1995.
All interested parties must attend an information meeting and tour of the
facility at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 1995. All tenders must be submitted

FALCONER, Franklin "Frank" Murray
of R.R. 5, Clinton (Tuckersmith
Township) died at University Hospital in
London on Sunday, Jan. 22, 1995. He
was 71. Bom in Stanley Township on
Sept. 23, 1923, he was the son of the
late William James and Mabel
(Stanbury) Falconer. He was married to
the former Eleanor Pepper on June 6,
1948, at Turners Church in Tuckersmith
Township. Mr. Falconer farmed all of his
life in Tuckersmith Township. He was a
former member of Turner's United
Church in Tuckersmith and a member of
Ontario Street United Church in Clinton
since the closing of Turners Church.
Mr. Falconer was a Past Master of the
L.O.L. No. 710 Clinton and was a 52
year member of the organization. He
was a past president of the Clinton Fair
Board, Clinton Agricultural Society. Mr.
Falconer served terms on Tuckersmith
Township Council both in the 1960s and
the 1980s. He served as a school
trustee for the Huron County Board of
Education. He was a member of the
Huron Cattleman's Association and was
a past director of the Ontario Shorthom
Cattle Club. Along with his wife,
Eleanor, Mr. Falconer is survived by his
children, Janet and Larry McClinchey of
Dorchester; Joyce and Don Castanza of
London; June and Ron Corriveau of
Goderich; Jean and Brian Jewitt of
Coldstream and Les and Deborah
Falconer of RR 5, Clinton. Mr. Falconer
is also survived by his brothers and
sister, Laurence Falconer, Kathleen
Whitmore and Mervyn Falconer, all of
Clinton. Also surviving are several
grandchildren„ Shawn, Scott and Sonya
McClinchey, Cindy and Angie Castanza,
Craig and Colin Corriveau, Leanne and
'Laura Jewitt and Derek, Fraser and'
Sydney Falconer. Mr. Falconer was
predeceased by two brothers, George
and Victor Falconer, and by one sister,
Jean Hyatt. Mr. Falconer rested at the
Beattie -Falconer Funeral -Homes in
Clinton where the funeral service was
held on Wednesday, January 25, at
1:30 p.m. with Rev. Willy Ziegler of
Ontario Street United Church officiating.
The L.O.L. No. 710 Clinton held a
memorial service on the evening of
Tuesday, January 24. The ftowerbearers
were grandsons Shawn and Scott
McClinchey and Craig and Colin
Corriveau. The pallbearers were Ervin
Sillery, Bob Fotheringham, Bob Lawson,
Ken Rogerson, John Henderson and
Jack McLachlan. Interment in Clinton

STADDON, David Albert of Clinton
died at Clinton Public Hospital on
Saturday, January 28, 1995. He was 61.
Born in Mount Dennis on Sept. 26,
1933, he was the son of the late
Reginald Albert and Gladys (Gibson)
Staddon. He was married to Gladys
"Eileen" Brown. Mr. Staddon was a
stationary engineer. Along with his wife
Gladys, Mr. Staddon is survived by one
son, William Staddon of Chalk River,
and by one daughter, Kathy and Verne
Sawyer of Kitchener. He is also
survived by his mother-in-law, Phyllis
Brown of Stratford, by one brother,
James and Hermie Staddon of Stroud,
and by one grandson, Nathan Sawyer.
Mr. Staddon was predeceased by one
brother, George Staddon. Visitation was
held at the Beattie -Falconer Funeral
Homes in Clinton where the funeral
service and committal services were
held on Tuesday, January 31, 1995,
with Rev. Gordon Redden of St. Paul's
Anglican Church in Clinton officiating.

Ball opposes
photo freebies
for council
The Town of Seaforth should
not have to pay for photos of
council for each councillor, said
Coun. John Ball on Jan. 24.
Council authorized a payment
of $38 each to order specialized
photos for each councillor.
Blu Bones, a band which is 1
poised to become one of the
breakthrough acts of the
1990's, is coming to Seaforth.
Blu Bones plans
to bring 'Sink' to
Seaforth bar
The band Blu Bones is making
waves in a 'Sink.'
The group is touring its debut
release, Sink, and will touch
down at the Commercial Hotel
in Seaforth on Friday, Feb. 3.
Lead singer Gord Prior says
the band "had a blast" when it
made the video for its new
single, Soul Power. The band's
director, Jeremy Lynch, con-
vinced a German film production
company to work for a 'bottle of
Scotch' on their day off.
"Everything was going great
until the executive producer of
the film, who was unaware of
what we were doing showed up
and tried to shut us down," he
said. "There were a few tense
moments before he agreed to let
us continue."
Blu Bones is "poised to
become one of the break -through
Canadian bands of 1995."
