CeSome history on Hibbert's ntury Farms can be found in the late Isabelle Campbell's trilogy of Hibbert history books. For instance, in A Hibbert Review (1953) she recalled that the Dow farm at Lot 4, Conces- sion 11 was held by several generations of Dows. "William Dow was the first to own it," she recalled. "He married Mary Watt and came from Lanark to this farm in Hibbert...he died (there) in 1888. She also recalls that Lot 19, Concession 8, now belonging to Cliff Miller, was first owned by Duncan McMillan and later James Norris. The first Miller to purchase the site was 'Little' Johnnie Miller and his wife Lizzie Wordenand they raised a family of 13, according to Campbell's book.
